After the last AMS firmware update, Orca Slicer suddenly popped the dreaded AMS mapping error every time I tried to print from it.
Bambu Studio can map the AMS but has trouble recognizing what Bambu filament is in one or two of the AMS slots. Almost always, it’s the AMS slot B3. But often, a random slot in the A unit will fail to know what the Bambu brand filament is.
Does anyone know how I can I resolve these two difficulties?
I tried the roll back as well and it made no difference. When I checked the printer it was still on the new version. Did yours actually roll back the firmware or just say it updated to the old version like mine did.
When I checked it said it was on 1.07. I then enrolled in the beta program and updated. Orca slicer can now map my AMS, but now Bambu Studio still can’t always tell its own filament in the slots. At some times it can tell it is Bambu filament, but not the color. Since I am doing al ot of printing the fact the Device tab allows me to set the filament up it’s working close-enough. Annoying but no idea what else to try. It didn’t give me the option to go down to 1.06.
This is appalling. Why Bambu thinks it’s good business practice to antagonize and harm their customers with unwanted firmware restrictions is beyond me. When will they stop?
