Hi,
unfortunately I screwed up and turned on all AMS units at once… Now I am wondering how to re-assign the IDs with the P1P printer… The tutorial only mentions how to do it with the X1C and I cannot find the solution on my own: Connect AMS Hub and multi-AMS | Bambu Lab Wiki
Even factory resetting my printer didn’t work…

no matter whatbi do, they show up in the wrong order. I plugged in the first unit, then the 2nd unit and it showed up as the 2nd ams in the list. Then i plug the 3rd one in and it shows up as the first in the list. The 4th one shows up as 2nd in the list. So the ordering ends up being 3, 4, 1 and then 2.
You guys have to reset the AMS IDs. It should work like in the wiki described. But for P1P the button for the AMS settings is in the Bambu Studio on the device tab. There should be also the options for reset the IDs. To assign the AMS in a specific order, they have to be connected and detected in these order. As the wiki said, if you connect all at once, the IDs will assigned randomly.
Yes that’s what I thought as well. But I cannot find this button in bambu studio or the mobile app. I think it’s missing
I figured out my problem. I was unplugging the ams units before i hit “reset ams data”. Seems like some data is saved on the actual ams unit maybe. Plugged them all back in, hit reset, rebooted printer, plugged in 1 ams at a time while the printer was on.

This is the button youre looking for. To the left of the guide button. After that, a page pops up with ams settings. At the bottom of that page is the reset data button.
I have a P1P. This is a screenshot from the X1C
Sorry, I thought you use bambu studio. The button should look the same.
Nope, this is the issue! That’s a screenshot of what you see in bambu studio… no big reset button at the bottom
Is there now a solution? I have exact the same problem. Im kinda irritated that its possible to mess up it up like this.
I already fixed it.
I had a great functioning P1P with 1 AMS.
I bought a second AMS with a AMS hub.
When I installed everything, I turned on everything together in 1 single time.
De P1P showed error HMS WARN 0700 5000 0002 0001 and refused to print.
The next thing I did was shut every thing down and removed the second AMS.
The result was the same.
Now I removed the first AMS and reinstalled the second AMS as only the AMS.
The result was no errors.
I reinstalled the first AMS as the second AMS in line and everything worked.
So it looks like the second AMS got the ID of the first one and the first AMS got the ID of de second one.
Well, this was a pretty strange story.
