P1P camera not working because of missing LAN IP

Hi everyone,

I just got my P1P in Canada and when I plug in my camera, it says Initialize failed (Missing LAN ip of printer), but my printer is obviously connected to the wifi and has an IP as I can wirelessly control the printer.

Updated to the lastest firmware as well.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

My camera is definitely work in that configuration, but I get that same error message when trying to access the Media tab from BS.

I’m having the same issue with the Windows program. At the same time, the camera is working fine in the Android app.

Also having this issue. iPhone app does not show the camera feed, either.

Same in Canada here, the camera works with Windows app but not iPhone app.

My camera works in windows but not in the handy app on android. Running latest update and firmware available on everything.

Anyone figure this out, im having the same problems

Have you made sure your not using some kind of blocking software on your phones or computers? Both windows and android both work for me.

I do have the missing ip in the media section of the device tab in bambu studio… I wish I knew what the problem is there and if its related to the issue.

Any Bambu Lab people on here? I have the issue where the camera feed works on Windows, but not on iOS Bambu Handy. Like everyone else, everything is up to date. I do have control of the printer with Handy, just can’t see the video feed.

Well with me, I have 2 p1p’s and one Carbon, in Bambu studio the camera works fine on the X1, but both p1p’s both show missing IP Lan error codes.

I just got my p1p and installed my camera. I had this issue until i used an older version of studio. then it started working. I feel like this is an issue in the newest version of Bambu Studio

which version of studio did you use?

Can be bad cable connection. Check ribbon cable inside the camera. Unplug and plug it back. That did solve my problem with camera.

1.1.0.17 it works. ANything newer and it doesn’t. for me anyway.

I tried using that version, same result. I also just tried to reseat the cable and same result. Also, the exact same thing is happening on my other p1p

I got the handy app working with both windows and android by rebinding the p1p to my phone. Unfortunately the camera only works when connected to the same wifi as the printer. Completely useless outside of the house.

I was able to view the camera feed on the Windows app, but not the Android app. I did this on the Bambu Handy app and it worked!

In the app, I clicked “Remove Device” and then added the printer back. After this, I could see the camera in the Android app, and confirmed I could still see in Windows app.

I can confirm this worked for both my printers thanks!

EDIT: went back to missing LAN IP after a few hours

Can you confirm that the camera only works when connected to the same network as the printer?

This was my case. I had the machine on my IOT network, and phone on trusted network. I could connect to the P1P, but no video was available till I put them both on the same SSID. Not Ideal. My Windows desktop is on ethernet, and can send files to the P1P, but gets the Missing LAN IP error on the camera. So does my Windows laptop, even when it is is on the same SSID.

This seems to be a very common issue.
