P1P: Keep the display on and backlight color change

Hi,

1.) is there any possibility to keep the display of the P1P on as long as the printer is switched on?
If not, this would be nice upgrade for the next firmware as nobody sees if the printer is still on when the LED lights are off and the printer is idle.

2.) Did anybody disassemble the original P1P display unit? For modding the P1P it would be great to have the backlight in another color (e.g. red or green). Yes, I know that this might mean the exchange of the led backlight. Maybe somebody already tried it!? :slight_smile:

There is a setting for the display timeout, set it to ‘Never’

The setting doesn’t refer to the display, it only says “auto sleep” and therefore I thought it is a setting for the whole printer when he is idle.

This seems to be relatively minor oversight in an otherwise incredibly well designed and engineered printer. I find it to be an annoyance also. Hoping it’s a quick upgrade by Bambu. Bambu - are you listening???
