** I want to make it clear that I reported every one of these issues to Bambu Lab’s official customer support the moment they occurred, yet they were never effectively resolved. Furthermore, despite my providing detailed images and well-structured descriptions, the official response was consistently to first question the user’s competence or setup. This appears to be their established policy.
I even had one customer service representative ask, ‘Are you using black filament or white filament?’ I had to reply, ‘Did you not even look at the pictures I sent you?’ I truly cannot understand their mindset or what they are attempting to achieve.**
All of the problems I encountered were using the out-of-the-box, default settings, just as I did when operating the P1S.
First Use, Nozzle Wiping Performance: The nozzle wiping performance appears to be worse than the stock P1S. I have never even upgraded the wiper component on my P1S, and it has always functioned perfectly.
Nozzle Size Misreport/Inconsistency: The printer is equipped with a 0.4mm nozzle, and the slicer requires a 0.4mm nozzle. Yet, the machine flags an error, stating these two specifications are inconsistent. Are these 0.4mm nozzles somehow existing in different dimensions?
I am constantly facing issues with stringing, stringing, and more stringing. (I do understand that this might potentially be a settings issue, but the premium price I paid was specifically to avoid having to deal with these kinds of problems. Furthermore, I never encountered these issues with the P1S or A1 mini—both worked flawlessly straight out of the box.)
Not a single clog/wrap alert, no layer shift, even after pausing and restarting a print some hours later, no alert about nozzle size neither (I already tried printing with 3 differents nozzles, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.4 high flow).
Not sure for your flow calibration issue… maybe you can share the model and the filament you are using, so we can test on our side ?
Hi, I have mine since 5 days, did not test anything on it yet (only 20h hour of print, mostly ASA/PETG/PLA) but did not have the same bad experience than you except :
Point.1 : I face the exact same issue, the nozzle and the inside of the printer are way more dirty and messy than my previous P1S. The previous nozzle wiper might have been a noisy solution, but it seemed to work. In this printer I constantly have strands of filament everywhere, on the bed plate, on my parts etc… I think it can easily be improved by Bambu Lab by adjusting the starting sequence and the line flow calibration line.
Each time a print is ending it seems that the extruder is pushing down the filament just after it is cut, which creates a string below the nozzle. This string finish onto my plate at the very beginning of the following print.
I would add a Point.7 : speaking about the starting sequence, can somebody understand why it has to move 2 to 3 times in X and Y direction, why do the bed have to move up and down several times before the nozzle probes the plate? It seems to be too much of movements for me, just like the filament purge which is now done in several steps. I think everything can be polished a bit more, for the time being it is not perfect that’s for sure!
@dedge@NiB Thank you both for your feedback. I’m still testing the machine, but I expect to get a new replacement from the official source within 15 days. This current one just has too many problems.
Parts of your mentioned problems mine 9 Days old P2S faced as well until it wielded the nozzle to the heat-exchager on the toolhead. waiting for the support…
I’d second most of these issues, Bambu have released 3 foxes for the P2S since it’s launch, I got mine a few days after launch, now done over 300 hours of printing, each updated causes chaos with this machine.
Stringing, nozzle clumping, bad wipe camera keeps failing if the machine is powered on for more than a day or two. I fixed all the issues except the camera myself through custom profiles, code and then Bambu released this week’s updates that reverts your settings, ignores custom filament and profile settings and locks you out of half the settings now.
Begining to really annoy me, and if they don’t sort them, it’s going back.
I’m having issue with stringing as well, after calibration, drying filament I still have those little fine stringing it’s annoying. Did you manage to fix the stringjng issue ?
