I hadn’t needed to use auto-refill until recently. I will add that multi-color prints function correctly. (edit) adding that I am latest firmware, p1s: 01.09.01.00, ams: 00.00.06.75 and I am using LAN mode with developer mode enabled.
Here is my issue including screen captures below. When a spool empties, the AMS LED turns solid red, after a short time, the LED light turns off and a short time after that the read AMS motor starts running. However, the refill slot never loads while the read AMS motor continues to spin. Once the runout sensor triggers, the P1S just stops; no movement, no temperature change, no message on the screen, no message in bambu studio. I’ve tested with multiple slots on the AMS with same result.
I believe I have all of the correct settings shown below. What am I missing? Possible AMS hardware issue?
It has many bugs, has done for a while and fixes often cause regressions.
I printed something the other day I wanted in black, there was also a green and two empty slots.
I knew I would need to replace the black during the print, but I didn’t realise until it had begun.
I received the out filament alert after it was issued, I went to replace the black, and noticed it had decided to use the green!
Black !== Green, yet it used my wish for auto-refill when all factors are equal.
Ironically, this is a feature request by some who wish to automatically use up old filaments, essentially, auto refill irrespective of matching factors.
Thank you for the confirmation. This was the main reason for the purchase so I’m very disappointed atm that this does not function as advertised considering that this hasn’t yet worked.
