P2S bad quality control issues

My p2s come on Monday after 5days of using.
Here are my issue:

  1. Top plastic cover resonances noise at certain speed
  2. Right side plastic panel deformation (convex) during high temperature print
  3. Scratchy grass panel on arrive
  4. MOST important issue the uneven heat bed , mine is concave about 0.5mm in the centre ,i can insert a card between the ruler and bed, totally unacceptable



    I am considering to return the machine and replace to H2S

Double check that the print plate is positioned correctly. It’s easy to have it slightly out of position and the print plate will sit high on the outer rear positioning tab.

Can you clarify this?

Was the uneven heatbed preheated or cold at the measurement?

It is same without build plate

It is minor defects, but still defect , I tried using IpA to remove but it didn’t work , it just scratched, I can feel it with fingers nails

So the bed is just as concave when heated? I struggle to believe it would be exactly the same heated.

What makes you think the H2 series has better quality control than the P2S?

Whatever cold or heated , still concave.
I take more photo for bed heated to 55degree c
The gap is basically the same


H2 series had launched much earlier, they should fixed some common issue in early batches. But the P2S is like a pre production unit for beta test

I’ve rarely read such rubbish! You probably got a “Monday” model. Everything’s great with my P2s. There’s so much know-how packed into it for so little money. Contact support; they’ll definitely help you. Their support is comparatively good. Check out other companies. And please, stop spreading such negativity here.

That is most likely an acceptable variation under their quality control standards since the leveling system will account for that.

If you really want to. There is a older trick of putting foil under the plate to balance it out.

Is is actually hurting print quality? Probably not.

The difference is, I never claimed mine were facts.
Calling the P2S a “beta test,” though? That’s not an opinion, that’s just guessing dressed up as knowledge. :wink:

Anyway, enjoy your printer. some of us prefer flying instead of arguing about the runway.

How would it do that? Every large, flat object he prints is going to be bowl shaped on the bottom.

I think you’re overstating things a bit there.
I’d only be concerned if it were functional prints.
Get a straight edge and check yours.

Yes, absolutely, it’s not going to matter if he is printing dragons, and most people print dragons (or something equivalent). But certainly people print things like helmets or models that aren’t “functional” but still rely on close tolerances to fit together.

To be fair, a helmet shouldn’t be in that area. I get what your saying, but I don’t think it’s the 5 alarm fire OP is making it out to be.
