Is there a low power mode to bring the heatbed under control for multi printer setups? I know my H2D’s got it now and it was a life saver. What about the P2S or the new X2C? Not sure which one to buy atm and I need to replace 5 P1S’s that are on a 20 amp 120V circuit. I was just about to order until I read the P2S uses crazy power on heating up.
The P2S printer has a power-saving mode, but it basically turns off the printer’s backlight and screen after a while. The shutdown time can be adjusted.
I think the H2C/H2D have dual independent bed heaters - possibly because of their bed size. Their low power mode simply disables one of the heaters. I also think the heaters are simple on/off things, no PWM regulation or anything. And finally I think the smaller printers only have one heater.
I could be wrong about most of this, for your sake let’s hope so!
I think you are wrong because my X2D also has low power mode and it has a regular bed size. It takes longer to heat the bed.
Btw, if you guys are interested in the exact numbers, I can measure the power consumption for these printers: H2C, X2D, P1S, A1, A1 mini

I think i can remenber the power saving mode that relates to the P2S bed avoids power spikes by taking longer to heat up. The total power consumption will be the same. I believe this was written in the firmware update details.
