I’ve recently started getting the error: HMS_07FF-2000-0002-0004 when I try to print from my P2S using an external spool. I can load the filament successfully. But, when I print my model, it fails a short while after starting. I’ve done the recommended troubleshooting by taking the extruder apart to check for blockages. I found none. I’ve checked the Extruder Filament Sensor and it appears to work correctly. The error only occurs if I try to print from my external spool.
Any idea what could be the problem?
Could you maybe explain in a little more detail what you mean by “fail”? Maybe post some photos? When exactly does the error message appear - right at the start of printing or in the middle of printing?
By the way, that’s the description of the error.
Printing with spool holders
This message appears when printing with the spool holder because printing with the spool holder does not complete the automatic unloading process and you need to manually pull the filament out of the tool head to complete the unloading process.
Thanks for your reply. The problem is resolved. The resolution…
For some reason, the Send print job screen showed the matching color of the external spool I had loaded, but, did not assign it to the correct spool location. I did not pay attention to the spool assignment. It showed the color I loaded on my external spool, but, it had assigned it to my AMS A3 slot, which was incorrect.
This morning, I noticed the discrepancy and selected the correct spool location (external) and it printed correctly. I’m at a loss as to why the loading of the external spool made it seem like it was assigned to an AMS slot.
