P2S power loss recovery failure

Relatively new P2S user.
Had an overnight power blip while printing. It was enough that Bambu Handy and Studio noted that it happened. It was NOT enough to reset any clocks in the house. When I went up to my printer, it was at the normal screen with the printer just stopped. (Not the warning screen shown in the wiki article below.)
As I haven’t experienced a power loss recovery before and there were no messages, I just hit the pause button and the play button, assuming it would resume. Bad choice. The hotend heated up and just started extruding filament in place. This started to cause it to push up off the print and surround my nozzle. No X / Y movement at all. Quickly stopped the print.

I DO understand that power loss is somewhat experimental and possibly fickle. I’m not upset that it didn’t work like the wiki article. Does it normally work for others? Is it possible the power blipped short enough that the printer saw an incoming power loss, but it was so short that the printer didn’t actually shut down and power back up? Anything that I should have done differently?

I bought a APC Smart-UPS 1500VA of eBay. I use noting but APC Smart-UPS for everything in my home-lab, house and anywhere else I have any kind of equipment. I like the Smart-ups as it is always online. APC’s Backup usp’s and other brands Switch over to the battery when there is some kind of power abnormality. I don’t use them for the backup power but rather for keeping everything up until my generator comes on line. A 1500VA will give you around 3 hours of run time. I worked in IT for over 30 years and 24 of them as a Sr. Network Engineer world wide. I saw more APC products being used than anything else.

Succede spesso anche a me, sono dei bug molto fastidiosi… la qualità purtroppo di bambu sta calando molto, anni fa era top invece

Please add the option to automatically resume after power loss, it must be super easy to add.
