Which build plate are you using? Depending on the plate, glue stick can be required as a release agent as others have already suggested.
I have printed PETG on multiple plate materials and Garolite (G10) is by FAR my favorite. I am using the Lightyear G10 plates currently, but others that have tried ordering in the recent past have complained of extremely slow shipping times (months) and non-responsive customer support to requests for updates or cancellations. My experiences have been great with the company so your mileage may vary. PETG just slides right off G10 when fully cooled down like magic.
I have also printed PETG on the Wham Bam PEX plate and it works great so long as you lower your temps a little bit as they detail in their instructions (or else it sticks too well). The Bambu textured PEI plate (original black version) has also worked just fine for me with no release agent required.
