I have noticed this limitation isn’t honoured on the app. That may have changed recently, but, I often write far too much and the app seems fine with it.

Can’t you also just tell them you’re sending them more help in a chat through the site instead of writing an essay in the comments?

1000 characters is a lot. Maybe just ask the questions in the comment then when the designer replies then you can reply more questions or verifications. Using 1000 characters in a single comment seems like excessive.
