Powering off my P1S via power strip?

Hi,
The question is already posted here but about X1CC.
I would like to be sure there is no issue to switch off my P1S through a power strip in place of the ON/OFF of the printer?
Additionally to that, is it better to let the fan working till the end or is it ok to switch it off if I don’t plan to print on that day?
Thanks for reading so far.

There would be no issue. Both the power strip switch and the onboard switch would do the same thing.

I’ve been using a remote control dual outlet for my X1C and accessory lighting power supply. The printer and light switch say on. When I press the remote button, they both start up. When I looked up the one I had, it’s been just over 1 year (image below). I turn them on and off with the remote. I have several other “smart” outlets that are Tapo Products that I can control with my phone. But for a one-off remote control, it’s hard to beat the Dewenwils option.

Thanks @JonRaymond & @Ken-N-Texas for sharing your good experience.
Any comments about the fans?

In regards to what? I turned the cabinet fan down to 70%. I don’t like listening to the jet engine sound. It wasn’t on before the major update and I never had any problems but I don’t print for hours on end. I print mostly PLA and TPU. Occasionally some ABS. I’m not sure why BL chose to default the fan at 100%. It’s too noisy for my environment.

Is it better to switch off the P1S when the fan turned off automatically or is it ok to switch of the printer earlier if I don’t print anymore on that day?

When I am finished printing, I turn my printer off. I don’t leave it on when not in use. If you’re worried about heat build up from the bed, it cools very fast but just crack the door a little.

Edit: By the time I get my print out and off the plate, the bed is just warm to the touch. If I’m done, I turn off the printer (and my light).
