As a direct result of the recent U.S. tariff reductions, we’re passing along significant savings across our entire collection.
We need some time to make the adjustment and plan to make it effective this Thursday, May 15th at 5 PM PST . For non-urgent customers, we recommend delaying purchases until then to lock in the new pricing.
That would be unfortunate. Being a new customer and venturing into 3D printing. I’d for sure take any savings applied and put it towards the many items still in my cart. One can hope.
Because I received my combo 4 days earlier than expected, Im not eligible. A person that ordered the same day, but received it on the correct day, is eligible. I guess I lost hundereds of dollars because I live close to a distribution center. Awesome.
Also looks like it only applies to combos. I guess bambu did charge more than they needed. They should just refund whatever money wasnt actually affected by a tariff. All the extra money charged in preperation for a tariff that never actually went into affect.
Hmmm, as far as I can tell, this is BL flipping the bird at Americans. Not that I blame them, IMO the whole world should, but to announce pre-tariff price ‘reductions’ and then offering EXACTLY the same price (P1S was $799 less $100 ‘coupon’, now $699 without any coupon)? Huh.
And it was $699 yesterday, with the $100 off coupon, and after the ‘big reduction’ announcement, it’s still $699 (my cost) today.
So, yes, the price hasn’t changed at all in the last week. Got it. So what’s the incentive to buy now? Other than worrying about the whimsy of our Con Man in Chief jacking it up again? Nothing. Big announcement, big sigh.
I’d be even a little bit happier to pay $649 at this point.
I guess it depends on when you received the items. Obviously, the tariff hadnt gone into full affect, but they are only refunding money for combos received after a certain date. Even if they were purchased on the same date as another person that is going to receive a refund. I didnt think they were ripping people off before, because I thought the 2nd tariff increase kicked in. It obviously hadnt, so they were in fact charging extra in advance.
I actually defended them. Whoops. Now we know why they were the only printer company to raise prices. Because the other companies were waiting for tariffs to actually kick in. Bambu jumped the gun by alot
No, I think the other companies already had stock within the US. BL had just come out with the printer and had not yet shipped them to the US. Therefore, they had to pay a tariff. Otherwise nothing would have been pre-order and it would have gone out right away.
That’s my guess. We have no way to know for sure but you shouldn’t blame them for something that you are not certain about.
