Price is raised and we still have to wait 2 weeks for it to ship

I was really hoping that today’s orders would go out right away. But it says they’ll go out around the 28th.

We have to pay more and still wait longer. Doesn’t seem right.

Why’s that? Bambu is getting the same, the added cost is tax.

No the added cost is not tax. Tariffs being pushed down to the consumer. It was 2199 yesterday, and this morning prior to the 4/8 7AM release it went up to 2399.

I got my confirmation email from my purchase this morning but it says it wont be shipped out until 5/9.

Sounds like the logic of a child. Sorry but: What?
You know that orange guy and his tariffs?

Maybe the prices will drop in Europe. If Bambu Lab has to bring their products into the market I would not be surprised.

Yeah, mine said the same. It’s frustrating to spend that much money and then have to wait nearly a month. It’s not a great first time experience, is it @BambuLab. Especially when the website doesn’t say it’s a “pre-order” your doing, it looks like a sale. I waited several weeks for 4/8 to open, now I have to wait a MONTH? That’s a long time to reconsider and go with someone else. I feel cheated @BambuLab because nowhere on this site does it say it’s a pre-order. The site said “available 4/8”. That implies you can purchase it, not preorder it. That’s deceptive in my opinion.

I just hope that our pre-orders stay at the price we paid and don’t get cancelled since the tariff is now at 104 %.

I agree on the fact that is did say Available 4/8. Other products on their site have said Available for Preorder which makes it a different situation since they are upfront about it. I cant say much regarding this though, as all my other my other printers have always shipped out with in a day, and filament orders are always quick.

Is this for the laser edition? No laser editions have been shipped and have always been pre-orders, both on March 25th and on the 8th. Only the base model has shipped at all

Edit: correction upon learning new info

The tariffs that are driving up the cost are effectively a tax imposed on you by your government, was my point, and as such don’t entitle you to jump the line. Bambu is being paid the same amount for their printer as they were a month ago.

If you think that’s bad, i’m in the UK and the price is the same, but we have to wait till June for dispatch

You have to pay more because the Trump tariffs placed on anything from China (or any other country), go to the Trump Government, not the factory, distributor, retailer or the country it came from. It’s sort of like karma strikes Americans who voted for Trump.

Crazy right? Great thing is you can just not buy it. :scream:

Sad, I’ve had my H2D for a week, I feel your pain (or I can imagine it, at least) :yum:

Your not wrong… I was annoyed at waiting a few days after placing an order within 10 mins. But it is what it is. The world we live in says this is how its going to work.

I’m gonna inject a little sobriety in to the conversation by saying, its not out of question that this may get a lot worse than having to wait a month for something to ship. There’s reason to believe we might get cut off from Bambu. Obviously, that’s worse case scenario, but I don’t think its unheard of. When the fighting political parties use words like “fight to the end” and the other side quickly jumps to more than twice the cost tariffs, you really can’t put anything past them. So, just go in to these big purchases eye wide open, with at least an understanding of the possibilities. Again… not saying it will happen, just that I wouldn’t bet against it.

I’m not going to feel comfortable until my H2DL is in it’s corner happily printing away. I only hope that they’re already in the country but all we can do right now is wait and see

Y’all people need to back up some. Tariffs have been a thing for a long, long time, most of them directed at the US. This drove companies to manufacture goods offshore, (the objective of those foreign tariffs), it worked. Now, someone comes along and says this is BS, I’m going to do the same thing to you for the same reason and now everyone is up in arms because they can’t instantly buy cheap stuff.

If those foreign tariffs weren’t imposed in the first place you’d be buying a printer made in the US but here we are, stuck with accepting foreign made items because the US was tariffed out of the market in the first place. I for one am watching with joy as this whole thing unfolds.

To be transparent, I was also on the list to be informed as to the availability of the new variant. As an owner of the X1C I’m still going to buy the H2D because of the reasons I chose it in the first place. This isn’t a Bambu issue, it’s a much, much larger thing that will play out and all of us will have to wait and see how it falls.

Welp, price for H2D is showing up as $2.699 USD now, an increase from the already increased $2,399.

Now I feel like an idiot for cancelling my $2,399 AMS combo order to wait out the tariffs :joy:

Plain H2D (no AMS) isn’t available til’ June in the US as well.

Feel sorry for anyone in the US who waited to save money by not getting the AMS. Now instead of paying $2099 with the AMS, they get to wait and pay $2399 (or worse,) to not get the AMS.

This is just crazy. Now the laser with the 40 W is over $4,000. It’s really going to hurt BL. I don’t think that they’ll sell as many as they hoped.
