Print Cancelled, but why and by what?

also just had same thing happen 2.5hr in 5 hr print . stock sd card

Just had the same exact thing happen. Lots of lost filament, and the printer just stopped mid print, didn’t lower plate or retract head. No indication of what went wrong.

Same issue here. Random cancelling, 2.5 hours in

This happened to me last night on my P1S. Print was coming along just fine. Heard a thunk and looked over to see the print head just stopped above the model and all 4 AMS lights were all flashing red in no recognizable pattern. By the time I walked over to it, all the AMS lights returned to normal white, but the printer had forgotten the file and its progress entirely. Had to scrap the print and start again. The following print is still coming along 10 hours later, so it seems it won’t be easy to reproduce. Hopefully the info about the flashing AMS lights helps. I don’t see anyone saying anything about that.

Same as others print randomly stopped with a reported cancel. I was sitting right next to the printer, it was going along fine until it seemingly stopped/froze with the print head in place. It’s not a power issue as I had it hooked up to a high quality UPS.

Same issue here, got a notification that print was cancelled. No electrical issues afaik, I wasn’t recording a timelapse, stock SD card, and the head just stopped where it was at, plate as well.

This just happened to me. Note that my layer number and time are exact, as I have Home Assistant integration that recorded the progress. Stopping at 255 is very suspect, as that’s the max value of an 8-bit integer. Additionally, unlike all other prints where the “current layer” sensor stays on the end-layer of a finished print, the sensor returned to 0 after the alleged cancel.

The timelapse downloaded via Bambu Studio doesn’t show the print head stop; the video just ends. However, grabbing the video from the “ipcam” folder on the sdcard, shows the print head just stop 8 frames before the end.

I’ve taken a copy of the cache/ipcam/logger/recorder/timelapse folders, if that’s of use to somewhere to work out why this happened. Sadly, I was printing an xmas tree and it failed 17 minutes before xmas day. Xmas is ruined

I had this happen today as well, wasting a lot of filament (that I made a special trip to pick up and dry last night) and time. Super frustrated customer here.

Machine: P1S
Stock SD card: No. I replaced with 128GiB Sandisk about 1.5 weeks ago, formatted in printer (after formatting to FAT32 with EaseUS on PC).
Bambu Lab Slicer Version: 01.10.1.50
P1 Firmware version: 01.07.00.00
Approximate layer number where it failed: approximately layer 90
Approximate time elapsed between print start and failure: ~3.5 hours

The timing of this, and everyone having 1.07.00 firmware seems VERY suspect. Looking at the release notes, my guess would be something related to the feature optimization for “Pause print if abnormal bed-leveling data exceed the threshold. This helps protect the buildplate from unwanted damage.” It wasn’t leveling the bed, but that would have messed with feedback from the printer as well as pausing printing (which ended up cancelling here).

I will open a support ticket too because Bambu really needs to fix this one quick.

Same here this morning. Notice that it was cancelled but I wasn’t on the app or printer. No other messages. Just
stopped
print head in place. Luckily it was a multiboard stack so at least some of the print is usable. I have Home Assistant running and it reports that state went straight from Running to Idle.

Same experience here. My print just cancelled by itself without error with printing head in place. No option to resume printing. It seems many ppl have been experiencing the exact same issue lately. I guess this is relevant to latest firmware (01.07.00.00)

Same happened to me. Printing head just stops mid air and print gets cancelled.

It failed twice with the same print in the same place. The head just stopped on an object as it was printing a layer.

The print plate had multiple objects that I had printed many times before. I printed single objects from the plate with no problem.

Potentially a memory leak?

I am reverting to the previous firmware version and will report back in a day or so if the error is not present.

Same. Printing head just stops mid air and print gets cancelled.

Same thing, nozzle is still touching the model so it can’t easily be removed, no option to resume. Was not using time-lapse and sent from the app.
