I received my replacement sd card a week ago, and haven’t had the problem since installing it… however, I’ve only had the problem happen twice (23 Dec, and 7 Jan), so I wouldn’t say that’s the fix, given how long between problems (and I’ve been printing quite a lot, over that whole time, with long jobs).
I have a sneaking suspicion that the problem is an erroneous cancel command coming from the cloud. Maybe that’s why they’re trying to increase the security with the upcoming authorisation enhancement?
When I was working at previous company (a year ago), the x1c print jobs sometime just got cancelled. I assumed at the time, my boss cancelled the prints with his handy app without understanding of doing so.
I wonder if any of you guys having this problem with multiple accounts controlling one printer.
I changed the stock SD card with a Sandisk 128GB U3 class. No more problems until today when I got the message: “SD card performance degradation has been detected”. The microSD card is new…
Where can I download 1.06.01.02 firmware for downgrade please ?
I had failures that were many weeks in between, and i was running 1.06 at the time. So i’m not sure if 1.07 really broke it, or just the SD card is to blame. You have to remember that it very much depends on the sector the data is read/written, so you might get lucky for now, and still fail a month from now.
What i did for the past 3 months and worked (for me) was to change the disk and reformat it every month. Call it maintenance on the filesystem I hope i don’t see that error again, because it only happened on longer prints, never on small ones haha. Could not care less if a 30m print gets canceled, but man oh man it sucks when a 6 hours print stops after 5 hours.
Same here. P1P with stock SD card : Started cancelling itself after firmware 01.06 update. The same files worked perfectly before. Changed card and updated firmware. It worked for a while but started failing again. It works perfectly with 01.05 firmware, but I can’t see the camera with that version.
Excuse my poor english, it’s not my first language.
I think two people have tried my earlier suggestions to Restore factory settings after updating to v1.07. At last report, neither had any further trouble with prints ending prematurely.
I can’t say restoral was the cure because they also made other changes at the same time. Replacing the SDcard does not seem to be the fix, because the problem comes back.
Restoral of factory settings after a firmware change (up or down) has been known to correct strange problems for both the X1 and P1 series. Those problems do sometimes take some time to develop.
My guess is that it’s not the firmware version, it’s an issue when you look at the camera feed through the handy app. There are quite a few people who have said that the issue happened after they viewed the camera feed through the app. I haven’t had the issue again since I’ve stopped looking at the camera feed and I didn’t downgrade firmware.
I have 1340+ hours on my P1P and I have not had this issue since replacing my SD card in February 2023. I bought my P1P in January of 2023.
Unfortunately I had my P1P cook that card in April 2024:
I replaced the cooked card with one of these cards:
I bought 2 so I have a spare in case it cooks another one again.
But I have not had any random print failures like the ones described above since the initial card replacement.
That being said, I have never upgraded to the 1.7 firmware. I have kept it at 1.6 since this thread was started.
I do not use Bambu Studio though, I only use Orca Slicer.
I turn off the time lapse capture and only use it when I specifically want to capture a print since I know that it will degrade my SD card faster.
I also check my prints regularly with Bambu Handy, so I don’t think that is an issue here, at least with 1.6 FW.
First step in fixing this issue (if you have not done so already): Replace the stock SD card. There have been known issues with them for years.
Second step: Revert to FW 1.6.
Also take a look at the card usage on the printer: On the P1x panel > Settings > SD Card: (mine says 10.2/57.9 GB)
If the card is approaching being full, it might be time to replace/reformat the card. I don’t know what kind of affect an (almost or) full card would have since I have never had a card survive that long, but it’s worth a consideration.
I just ran a 4 hour long print yesterday with no issue.
Machine: P1S + AMS Stock SD card: Yes Bambu Lab Slicer Version: 1.10.1.50 P1 Firmware version: 01.07.00.00 Approximate layer number where it failed: approx 790 out of 922 Approximate time elapsed between print start and failure: 18 out of 19.75 hours
This was devastating. I was printing trophies for a tournament I ran that day… showed up with a frown instead.
This has just happened to me - i am new to 3D printing, been using it for a week - is this a normal occurrence? is there any way that you can continue a print? incredibly frustrating!!!
Stock SD card: yes Bambu Lab Slicer Version: 1.10.1.50 P1 Firmware version: 1.07.00.00 Approximate layer number where it failed: 680 / 725 ± 10 layer Approximate time elapsed between print start and failure: 3h 50min ± 5min
This makes me extremely sad. I’ve bought P1S for its reliability and performance. Mostly reliability. And I’m already experiencing firmware bugs (or whatever is going on). Wasted a whole print for it to fail at approx 98%
Anyone knows anything about this already, what’s going on? I can provide logs from SD card. Since this is going on from Dec 2024 as I see, any progress? I really didn’t read the whole post as it’s realllllly long.
