I use the same, 0.4mm for most things. But if you want a finer overall detail. a 0.2mm can deliver. I happen to be using my 0.2mm the last several days printing badges for a 4 wheel drive club. Getting much finer detail.
The cost is time. The half sized nozzle costs time.
Might be worth a try. Just make sure the filament can be extruded through the smaller nozzle. And to hurry things up, I will often use Ludicrous Speed. gives 166% faster printing.

I keep reading about washing plates, applying glue, etc and just shake my head. I have been using a Cryoplate for months now with PLA and PETG and have never lost model adhesion. I don’t clean it or anything it just works. There are several types you can use based on your needs and they are not expensive. Here is Amazon link:
