Printer offline from bambu lab and cannot bind from bambu handy

Same problem to my P1S trying to understand what’s happening but cant see any troubles. I tried to open 3000, 8883 ports to bambu and it helped me for 1 print. And now it doesn’t even work anymore

Brand new P1S with AMS, worked fine for 4 days. Then 2 thing happened: I decided to turn off the light and I left it a hole day without pinting… and the problem appeared! It’s connected to the wi-fi correctly but the Handy nor the lab can’t connect.

And not, it’s not a network problem. I’m used to work with networks and have a ver good and realiable Asus router + external ONT.
It sounds like the machine goes to “deep” standby mode and can’t recover correctly, but yes, it’s awesome that YEARS after a client complained, it is not fixed yet O_o

Have you tried power cycling the printer yet?

After rebooting, it shows no IP (well, shows 0.0.0.0).
I set an static IP for the printer MAC on my router, not sure if it will helps because I saw no option for static IP, it seems that DHCP is mandatory.
I also relocated my WiFi mesh nodes to be closer to the printer.

As I see on this forum, the problem might be a conjuntion of

  • The printer anthena is very poor. That normal on IOT devices, so I don’t really complain… just makes much more frequent those “network” issues.
  • It uses a microcontroller, not a CPU. That’s a really bad choice as it limit the bandwich and other aspects on the network, but should not affect the stability or the range.
  • Even the hardware is encrypted, so you can’t modify any piece as the anthena (at least not easily). That’s a very bad point… I know that I didn’t bought a DIY machine, but this sounds like Bambu can prevent the machine for working if they wish…
