My printer arrived 24 hours ago and of course I unpacked it right away and wanted to get started, but it doesn’t work at all. The initial startup and the associated calibration fails immediately.
Error:
Heating bed temperature 0 Celsius
The temperature of the heating bed is abnormal
The signal from the heating bed force sensor 1 + 2 + 3 is weak.
I carefully removed the heating plate according to the suggestion of the instructions (QR code) and I think here is a connector defective, which is also firmly glued to the heating plate, which somehow makes no sense.
A couple of days of waiting is my guess.
And most likely they will send you a new heatbed to replace the broken one. Or offer you a refund if you do not feel capable of repairing it. Just my 2 cc.
I think I can remove it, but the connection between heatplate and board also are glued, I don’t want to damage something else and at the end it’s my fault if something else doesn’t work anymore. So best way for me is a complete change of the printer. If it’s possible
Well you image is showing a blown connector end. If the wiring is also damage then yes, you have a big problem. Hopefully you will receive a replacement machine soon. I’m sure you have contacted them for help.
Eh, so it appears to be an SMT JST connector. And it appears that glue was applied to the wrong side of the plug. Most likely it was intended to be glued to the black frame to resist vibration damage. But being glued to the wrong surface simply caused it to pull free from the solder joints during transport.
This is something I could possibly fix (a different hobby), but I’m guessing that the pads were torn off of the board at the very least. So in your situation, I would say you’ll need a new heat plate assembly.
After 10 mails and more than a week I now know that I will not get a new printer because they are exercising their right to rectify, but the heating bed version V3 is currently not available and I have to wait at least 2 weeks. And of course I have to rebuild it myself, but I get to keep the broken one.
I could probably repair the one you have, but that stinks that you have to wait so long for a new plate since they’re the ones responsible for the faulty assembly in the first place.
It appears that Bambu Lab expected rapid growth, but they underestimated the need to have spares of major assemblies, especially after the “warped bed” fiasco.
If you look at the inside of the pads you will see plated through holes. Those are moving the pad soldered joints connection to the other side of the board (assume a double sided board and not one with more layers).
Therefore if you can solder the connector back on the pads you should be able to fix it. To test this you could probe the other side of the hole to the pad to prove the connection. However, if you haven’t worked with micro electronics this could be too difficult.

I have just unboxed one of mine and it has some heating issues…
interestingly the one that has issues has the same yellow and green earth wire
as yours is showing on your pic
My others that dont have a problem have a black earth wire…
One could speculate that they may have changed wiring loom suppliers…
and that have not been as good as before…maybe…
Will be interesting to see what the other 3 have in the wiring loom …??
Yeah, it’s fixable. The traces are pulled off, but I see 6 vias that pass through the board. It also looks like 1 or 2 surface traces will need to be connected. Interestingly, this type of damage and repair is something that Apple or cell phone repair shops deal with daily.
If you’re in a hurry to get rolling, you could check with a few local repair shops and see. Can you continue to use the heatbed with PLA or other low-temp filament until repaired?
The broken mounting pad on the connector can be handled with adhesive after solder work is complete.
