Printing 5 colors

I want to print a part with five colors. The base will be white, and on top of that I’ll have areas of black, green, blue, and red. How would you go about this? If I pause after all the white has been printed, can I pull the white spool and replace it with a new color to finish?

Yes, just make the other color white when you go to slice it and put the new color in the white’s spot on the ams.

The AMS will let me pull a filament and change while paused? I haven’t done that before. Cheaper than buying a second AMS…

You can put a new filament in while paused, just don’t expect it to pull the information from the RFID chip as it will not.

Read this, I explain it in detail with examples you can view before trying it yourself.

That part is a benefit as it means you can swap all filaments midway through a print, including the Bambu Lab ones.
