13hrs into a 15hr print the printer stopped feeding filament but continued to print nothing into thin air.
I have tried in this order, using the help videos and retesting without success at each stage.
Cleared the hotend using the tools and instructions on the video.
Dismantled the extruder and checked for stuck filament. There was none.
Replaced with new hotend.
Replaced with new extruder.
The filament is registering on the extruder (green light in Bambu studio)
I was initially testing through the AMS but have also fed from the spool on the back by using āLoadā function, and by manually heating the hotend and manually extruding on the front panel.
I am out of ideas. Please help me get back up and running during this hectic Christmas period.
(Opened a ticket but there is a warning about delays in replyingā¦
Need to clarify if you get anything out of the nozzle doing thisā¦ or are we still clogged after replacing the hotend and doing this simple diagnostic?
If the above path fails to dump filament, then going back a step to the extruder checkā¦ this area is clear?
And after all those steps from the wiki, Iād probably take the spare nozzle set and loosely attach it to the extruder after disassembly and test with a filament down the path to see if itāll even go into the top of the heat block. Itās always usually something thatās causing misalignment there.
Nothing comes out of the nozzle when it is installed. When disassembled I could use the tool to push all the way through the nozzle.
There was no piece of filament stuck in the extruder when that was disassembled like in the photo. I replaced both with new anyway.
Happened yesterday: app gave me a message āprint completedā, but when I got to the printer this morning it only printed Ā±70% of the height of the products.
No error messages whatsover. So I assumed it printed in the air. (no memorycard installed so no timelapse, got to get one)
Only thing chaned was prior to the print the Bambu Lab Studio opted to update to a newer version, which I did. (now on 1.8.2.56)
So just to make sure it was not hardware related, I changed nothing and started a testprint on 2 of the same items. It has started and printing without issues so far.
So I guess it has noting to do with clogging or ams problem?
I am experiencing the same problems with one of my X1 Carbon printers. I have 3 printers 2 X1 carbons and 1 P1S. I run the same print files on all 3 printers using PAHT-CF. I have ran into a problem on one of my X1 carbons that I canāt seam to fix. While printing the extruder skips and canāt push filament through the hotend. seams to do ok when the nozzle is not up against the table but when there is any resistance against the nozzle it cant do itā¦ I have replaced the following
Complete nozzles 3 different times
Extruder motor
Extruder gears
Main PCB on the back of the print head (TH board)
Iāve tried printing with AMS and from the spool holder with no success
I have ran my file that I am using for testing many times on this printer. The problem occurred after attempting a 14 hour print. I assumed the stepper driver or extruder motor started to burn out but replacing the both of them made no difference.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I do apologise for not returning to this thread to update to help others as I was so frustrated at the time. I had overwhelm with keeping my shop running up to Christmas and this was very annoying.
In my case I was almost certain of no clogs, and having installed a new extruder and hotend, then hotend assembly, I then replaced the th board.
Shoot just my luck. I already replaced my TH board, but it didnāt fix my problem. Iām thinking possible the power supply unit or the usb cable that connects the th board to the main board
