Hello,
I’m experiencing a problem with the latest version of Bambu Studio: Bambu_Studio_win-v02.00.02.57.
The following message appears: The procedure entry point IsWon64Process2 could not be found in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.
I’m using Windows 7. I’m afraid I’m reaching the compatibility limit of the app and my operating system…
Have you experienced anything like this? Am I the only one experiencing this issue ?
Thank you for your help.
It’s unfortunately win7 compatibility problem. in order to use the slicer as is you have to use win10 or older version built for win7
Thanks, I’ll revert to the earlier version.
Thanks for your quick response
Have a nice day
Papoow
BTW: which version worked for you with windows 7? last I checked all required windwos 10…
The latest version that works very well with Windows 7 is Bambu_Studio_win-v02.00.01.50.
I’m having the same issue, the update ran fine, then refused to open with the same message. Does anyone know where I can get the last version ??
SUPPORT?

I have installed the latest version of Bambu studio v02.00.02.57. I am getting the error IsWow64Process2 could not be located in the dynamic link library BambuStudio.dll
I have windows 10
any solutions ? thanks in advance
I noticed the previous version gave you the option of choosing “advanced”, then you would have to check to turn off AMS lite, which only then gave you the option of using external spool. otherwise there is no choice for external spool choice. if you type into Google “bambu studio V02.00.02.57 no ability to use exterior spool a1”, and you will get this:"The issue is likely a bug in Bambu Studio v02.00.02.57 preventing the ability to select and use external spools on the A1 printer. A potential workaround or fix would involve either downgrading the firmware to a previous version or using Bambu Connect. ".
And it gives me no ability to just click on the external spool, it remains with an exclamation point over the spool, and doesnt allow you to click it, even tough it does show in the list of filaments, and item is painted with it. I have no idea why they broke what worked. O downgraded back to previous version, so i can print from the TPU I keep on the external spool.
When I try to launch Bambu Studio, I get the following error message:
“The procedure entry point IsWow64Process2 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.” - Windows 7
IsWow64Process2 is an API that was introduced with windows 10 1709. If the program requires this you pretty much can’t run it on windows 7

Hello,
It looks like you’re encountering a compatibility issue between the latest version of Bambu Studio and Windows 7. The error you’re seeing, related to ‘IsWow64Process2’, is due to the function being unsupported in Windows 7, as it was introduced in later versions of Windows (Windows 8.1 and onwards).
Many modern applications are gradually dropping support for older operating systems like Windows 7. This could be why you’re experiencing issues with the new Bambu Studio version. Unfortunately, there may not be a straightforward fix other than trying an older version of the software that is more compatible with Windows 7.
If upgrading your operating system is an option, that would likely resolve the issue and provide better security and performance overall. Otherwise, you might want to reach out to Bambu Studio support to see if they plan to release a version that’s compatible with older systems or if there are any workarounds.
I hope this helps, and good luck!
