I was just wondering if there might be a rebate or offer of free items for people that paid for the P1P before the price was dropped? Maybe not a rebate but something like a $100 store credit? that would be nice…
Apparently they are sending out discount codes. I havent seen mine yet
That said. I havent had a receipt yet either
Sure, it would be nice for consumers, but not a very sustainable business model for Bambu Lab. I suppose that’s why most (all?) businesses don’t instantly refund customers every time they have a sale and/or make pricing changes.
And if prices rise, would that mean consumers who got in at a lower price should be auto billed the difference?
When the price drops just a few days after a product was sold, the product support team is likely to help, because of their return policy. It costs more when an item is returned and then ordered again for the lower price.
That won’t apply when the time for return has passed. The other way around would obv. not work.
do they automatically send discount code or have to hassle them for it ?
It would be nice if they offered 52% off AMS for those people.
I just got a offer of 2 rolls of petc-cf for $2.99. Placed the order.
I do not know if that is related to a rebate or just a way to flush the warehouse.
You probably need to ask support. I’ve seen reports of people getting vouchers when the printer was bought just a few days before the sale started.
This relates to the anniversary event. When you bought your printer before the anniversary started or were one of the backers at kickstarter, you get a reward. There is a blog post around this, that explains it all.
I emailed contact@bambulab.com as I purchased a P1P a few months ago, but had no reply. Apparently, you need a code emailed to you to get the offer.
Not expecting a rebate for the $100 higher price, but the vouchers they are sending out as a “thank you” does go a long way towards restitution.
Two $35 filament rolls for $2.00 is better than 2/3rds of the dollar value. They didn’t send out the voucher to me on time but I’m assuming they are just spacing them out to keep from giving away all of their stock at one time.
I asked for a voucher for the difference in price ($130 CAD) and got it in about a week. Ordered 5 rolls of filament and will get them tomorrow.
Just open a support ticket and ask for credit.
I got mine this morning for the value of the difference in price between when I bought the machine and the new price. It took about 10 days from when I first asked.
Got a reply saying there was nothing they could do.
You are likely outside of the return period. For everyone inside of the return period, it is cheaper to give them what they want, because they will just return it.
I got a mail saying theyll be sent by the 24th
Reading the blog, if you ordered a printer after the kickstarter, but before June 26, 2023, you can get the 2 filament bundle. The details say PLA-CF filament, will that even work with a stock P1P?
Sure it will work, but expect the nozzle to wear quicker, as CF is abrasive.
So dangle a filament deal in front of you to get users to buy an extruder upgrade. Well at least the P1P owners.
