Retroactive 20% discount on accessories

With the price increases that just happened I think there is no way anything is going to happen now I’m afraid. RIP anyone trying to buy a printer. It’s jumped across the board. A1 jumped $50 just now…

I placed my order this morning and added the smooth Pei sheet but after check out I realized it wasn’t there.

I’m not sure if it was my mistake or theirs. I see that I get an error message when I try to go order the Pei plate separately.

It probably went out of stock before you paid. It was a mad rush so I heard…

I finally got my 20% accessory code to work today for the vision encoder and smooth plate, but my filament code still doesn’t seem to do anything.

Somehow I was able to order it tonight. I guess they came back in stock

How did you manage that? I did they chat with them and they said they could not fix the price.

Keep an eye out on your email, I received discount codes saying they understand there was an error during the ordering process and are now offering the discounts.

BTW, I stand corrected. I initially expected the worst and Bambu out-performed my expectations. Definitely a move in the right direction, service-wise.

Here is the latest update:

“In the future, if you encounter similar situations, you may want to keep screenshots or screen recordings”

So as I mentioned before we supposed to recording our screen during ordering otherwise they wont believe you.

I got an email also where they gave me a code for 20% off tpu and and the vision encoder which is better than nothing. I was very polite and nice to the CSR and it seemed to work.

I actually didn’t bother to call. I was sure they were going to blow me off, so I just let it go. The email I got said they reviewed the purchases and found that I should have been given a couple of discounts. Not a perfect fix, but definitely acceptable and enough for me to say I was wrong about their service stance.

Nice. I missed the vision build plate, so have to try again at the next window. I got no email despite signing up for updates…

Thanks for sharing!

Show me a company that backdates discount …

Lots of companies backdate discounts and have low price guarantees. But not honoring an advertised discount because of a technical glitch is really annoying.

There are a few issues with the Bambu Lab store that I find concerning.

First, most online stores reserve items in your cart for a few minutes, allowing you to complete your purchase without losing products simply because someone else buys them. However, at Bambu Lab, prices frequently change—even for items already in your cart—which is extremely frustrating.

Additionally, all items that are ready for sale should be visible and available for purchase as soon as the sale begins.

For example, I lost the Vision Encoder twice during my order process: the first time it disappeared from my cart when it was discounted, and the second time it was removed when I tried to order it separately. I was only able to purchase it on my third attempt, but at a higher price.

While these issues aren’t catastrophic, they are very inconvenient. A similar problem occurred when I purchased filament in bulk—the discounts suddenly disappeared from my cart, and I had to redo the entire order.

This seems unlikely to be true. At most I’d guess it’s a fraction of a percent.

Mine is arriving… tracking received, for italy! (if someone is interested to know)

This is standard practice in most stores; without it, things would quickly become chaotic.

When purchasing travel tickets, this is how it works; my local computer store uses this approach, and so does our local cinema. While not every store has a physical counter, many still reserve items for a few minutes to give customers time to complete their purchase.

What Bambu Lab experiences instead is a large number of “panic” purchases, where customers add items to their cart just to secure them. This benefits neither the company nor its customers.

A simple reservation period of two minutes, or until the customer leaves the checkout page, would be sufficient.

Well, like I said, this seems unlikely to be true for stores. You mentioned travel tickets, I can understand how that might be the case. But not for shops selling items.

But for stores, say, like Amazon or any shopify store (which is what Bambu uses) it is not standard practice. In the US, combining Amazon and shopify would exceed 50% share, therefore it could not be true for “most” stores in the US.

Can you point to a reference suggesting this system is wide use, or even use anywhere at a large site? Since you are suggesting it is in use by “most” stores that should be trivial.
