if the printer doesnt see the card it wont let me format, which was what was happening with the new cards the printer just didnt see them. So i was stuck having to format elsewhere.
Well, issue has magically gone away for me.
Didn’t make any changes. Same SDcard, same prints. But I haven’t seen the error message in at least a week.
On the Bambu Handy App.
It gives you the option to downgrade to the previous Version.
I was getting the Same SD card error.
After i downgraded the printer started working with no SD card errors.
After Bambu Fixes the Bug, i will upgrade.
I have this issue with a new SD card I got as the stock card stopped working. Anyone found a solution yet?
I just started having the same problem. I switched in a barely used Sandisk SD Card and am getting the same error when I print (even though it seems to print fine). Anyone ever get a real answer on how to fix this?
Mine has just started with this error as well. I’m just ignoring it at the moment. I wonder if it is just a coincidence or if something has changed recently.
It could be ‘coincidence’ depending on how the card was used before it went into the printer.
I always say to people to get the formatting tool from Sdcard.org for obvious reasons - these guys define the standards.
Backup what’s on the card, format with the tool and place the files back on the card.
If it still plays up you know for sure Bambu stuffed up once more.
Windows does not format SD cards, nor USB sticks the way their internal controller demands.
Instead they format like any other hard drive and expect the SD card controller to do what’s right.
Thing is that these controllers are smart - if an OS demands things they comply if possible - and that often means a Sdcard starts to struggle with certain operating systems.
Just started getting this issue yesterday as well… I’m a firmware or two behind and app is up to date - wondering if related
Seems strange and not coincidental that others started seeing this in the past couple of days…
Looks like Im not the only one. I have been getting this message in the last couple of days. Different cards, same result.
Glad that it is an ongoing bug. I thought I got a lemon draw when I received my P1S
My printer is from 2025/02 and after 240hours of printing the SD-card shows to be degraded
and BambuStudio does not show any thing on it anymore. Just used it for 2-3 time laps videos.
Does the software kill the card? It was the original card. Formatting was not possible anymore. I put a San Disk Card with 256GB into the printer. Hope it lives longer.
I have had this issue for about last month. OrcaSlicer can read and write to it (using the Bambu equipment) so it is a software issue with Bambu.
Just started getting that error after about 370 hours print time on my P1S. My SD card is a SanDisk 32 GB card. Bambu Studio on my PC is 1.10.xx (the last version before the 2.xx updates) and printer firmware is 01.07.00.00.
I received the same error. The solution was to ask the printer to reformat the card.
How do I do that on the P1S? I haven’t found the option in the smartphone app. I’ve already formatted the SD card using Windows 11 Pro (formatted as FAT32).
My P1P does this as well. Even rolled back to 1.07.02. tried 4 different cards, even a brand new Samsung pro endurance. Still the same issue after a few prints. Ffs bambu.
Come to think of it, I’ve been seeing alot of bugs on my non updated machines happening more often since the latest “security” update dropped. I bet their proposed solution is to “upgrade” to it. I’ve been afraid to as it’s had a myriad of issues from everyone I know who upgraded to it.
