Should I stop using Sunlu filament? I’ve been using Sunlu filament since I first started 3D printing, with my A1 mini. Using the A1 doesn’t feel to be different. I end up printing the desired shape, but the print isnt smooth, I always have blobs or rough edges unless I switched to fuzzy skin to hide the imperfections. It feels like no matter how much I try. I can’t get that perfect print. I chose Sunlu because it was praised on, but also because it was cheaper than bamboo’s original. So, no matter what I use wether is PLA or PETG or TPU Or PLA silk, every Print has an issue. True, my printers don’t have the factory settings as I had to adjust the print beds on both. I am living in a part of Europe that’s doesn’t make it easy or quick to receive new filament, But at this point, I don’t have anything else to do.
So I’m asking you guys is it something related to my printers or is it something to do with the filament itself?
I think your problem with those prints is not the filament but the slicer settings. 8% is very low infill setting. you need quite some top layers to achieve a clean top surfaces, especially with those just slightly slanted top surface. How many top layers do you use?
I’ve got some Sunlu PLA and PLA+ 2.0. If either of those models is something you can share I’ll give it a shot on the X1C with your settings to start narrowing things down.
I think those internal strings are normal. As you can’t see the infill later, the Slicer omits the retraction when travelling to increase speed and reduce load and wear on the feeder.
