looks like someone forgot to hit a publish button on the store backend
Well, its still Nov.12 for a while yet
Finally live as of an hour ish ago.
true, already ordered mine
Ditto, Iāve order 4, one for each P1S.
Iāve also grabbed one of each actually available AMS friendly TPU, just 4 out 7.
How are there only 4 available colours on launch dayā½
ah your brave :D, i want to test only 1 before getting more, to see if it really performs as advertised
for the TPU, iām guessing it depends on the warehouse, it probably sold out some of the colours before you got there, this is not something new, they have a strange stock management for filaments
that being said, after seeing some videos, i struggle to call that TPU - at least in the traditional sense of it, it looks to be super hard, so it might have some interesting characteristics, but not what one usually expects from TPU, which makes sense, there would be no way to pass a soft filament through the AMS
They are only plates for the A1 mini left now.
Was wondering when the 1st post regarding new build plate comes out.
So this is essentially Bambu version of Biqu cryo plate ?
Thatās the theory. Code āsupertackā for an extra 10% off.
Oh too late hate missing out on a discount
Iām sorry. It took me a minute to realize that maybe not everyone got the alert email. I know how you feel, I hate missing a discount too.
beat me to it ⦠oh well.
I hadnāt physically placed my order, but, had the build plates in my basket.
My health issues mean I canāt physically move for a period.
I just gained enough strength to complete the purchase and the big sized plates are already out of stock.
What utter (bad word).
The new TPU only had 4 out of the 7 available colours at launch, the build plates latest a couple of hours before stock was depleted.
BL goes out of its way to shoot itself in the foot.
A competent company would have sufficient stock at launch.
I didnāt receive an alert email either. What a shower of (another bad word) they are.
@PrinterMcgee the supertack discount code doesnāt work in the checkout for me. I had a new mini build plate in the basket.
I for sure thought we were going to get a Malc post today talking about how the UK customers were left behind again
Gah! Spoke too soon
Not quite, I didnāt say the U.K. as BL didnāt provide enough for any region. I checked them all. Australia seems fine, but, the US canāt get any size nir can most of the others.
Most territories couldnāt order all 7 of the new TPU colours as they were zero stock of many at launch.
No alert email for me either, but maybe that was a good thing because missing out now allowed me take the time to read through all the info rather than feel pressured to order quickly before it was too late.
Not 100% sold on the plate, but thereās probably no doubt Iāll buy one to try out. I donāt normally have any adhesion issues with PLA or PETG with either my Bambu smooth plate or my Wham Bam plate. This new one uses less power and generates less ambient heat in the room, but otherwise Iām not convinced that it solves any problems. And if it actually adheres as well as they claim, that in itself seems like it could be a problem. I particularly love the part where they point out that if you canāt get the print off, heat the plate hotter than the plateās print temperature and remove it while the plate is still over-temp hot. In other words, just melt the print loose.
As far as the TPU for AMS, Iām not even 50% sold on that. I use TPU quite a lot, but never for multi-color, so I just use the external spool. I use TPU 95A and TPE 83A, but see no use (for me personally) for something with a hardness of 68D. Thatās literally the shore hardness of construction hardhats. That said, Iām sure many others will have a use for something like that - and one day I may as well - so I guess itās a good addition, but just something Iām glad I didnāt make a time-crunch, panic order on before realizing I donāt need it.
This is a big thing for me, no extra wasted costs in heating if not necessary.
I do find it amusing that on the day they launch an AMS friendly TPU, their brand new build plate canāt be used with it.
Youāll regret not having printed one when a brick falls from the sky.
For me, this is about wasting time until I expire.
What can I do with it is a good enough reason to try it for me.
Same. I print almost exclusivly on the smooth plates and love them. Iām curious about the new plates, but Iām also not sure how necessary they were? I guess weāll see!
Iām curious to try this TPU for AMS. I got the impression too that it was like a bouncier hard plastic, vs a more rubbery tpu. From what Iāve seen, that is.
I just got it in black. I donāt even know what Iād do with the other colors! Ha. I guess it depends on what the surface properties are like though. Maybe itāll end up being something Iāll want to use a lot! Iām making a model right now that has a handle portion to it. I was considering printing that portion out of TPU, but Iām also considering this new AMS TPU, depending on what itāll be like. Like I donāt want a solid block of rubber, but I kind of would like something that feels different from the other materials Iām using for the rest of it.
Iām very curious at the least, and thatās the ultimate enemy of my wallet. Nothing has wrecked my finances more than curiosity. Well, except maybe my ex. Haha.
Got or ordered?
Err Ordered
So technically, not got. The whole of shipping may dash my dreams yet.
