That would be my assumption too, since we see it off to the side I’d imagine its an optional attachment much like a lot of machine out there have. Diode and at 10w isnt really etching metal or doing anything close to heavy duty work. I’m not sure what the practical use in 3D Printing would be (not being a fiber laser) since you’ll just melt the plastic more so than get something clean. and you’ll only be able to do darker colors or have to color the lighter color with a sharpie first. I have a standalone diode laser so this option isn’t something I would use in my 3d printer but maybe they can figure out a decent enough use case and not just a gimmick to add on for more monies. Having the laser would definately warrant marketing to a more prosumer as well as their desire for increased security.
Does it also look like the bottom of the machine is now on level with the edge so you can sweep stuff right out instead of having a lip in the way or is that just my perceptive cuz that would be super annoying to try and sweep out lasered debris and such with the stupid lip in the way again
