Looks like even the base model with a single tool head can do 4 color printing with the AMS lite like unit on its side. Also on the single tool its 300x300x300mm build volume, larger than the tool changer 300x240x290mm. We will have to see if its reliable or even beyond vaporware, they do have a bunch of photos of their print farm/test center with many machines: https://x.com/WonderMaker3D/status/1899297724459335867
I have zero interest it something like this from an unknown company but figure i would post it anyways.
I suppose you’re right. If it sounds too good to be true, and it ships from an unknown company that wants to be paid in advance… then it probably is. When the failure rate for new launches from even known companies is high, it’s probably bound to be even higher from a group of unknowns with no proven history of success.
Looks interesting… thanks for sharing. Am now following (if only for the controversy over a Bambu A1 series printer in the background of one of the pictures ) as more information should come out in April when they start their Kickstarter.
May I remind you about another 3D printer manufacturer who was also unknown, and launched via kickstarter… what was their name again… Baboon Lakes? Bindi Larson?.. duh, that that is… Bambu Labs! But yeah, I’m with you… so many of these kickstarters are just scams and highway robbery.
And what do you think is Bambu Studio. Just a reskin of Prusa Slicer, with an addon and some modifications.
In my opinion a open approach is definitely more worth. And I think to employ Klipper is a good think. It can be enhanced. More companies should publish their changes. All would benefit from this.
Bambu studio is based on Prusa but its not a reskin, they put some work into making it their own, there is a difference.
Been staring at the photo… looks like the are switching to smooth non-toothed belts. This should help to get rid of the VFAs, especially with 350mm high volume.
the heck ?? the tooth on the belts are either in the back and they routed the printer in another way… or we just dont see the image properly ? I really dont think they would put non toothed belts here… how would you get rid of belts slipping ?
or thats the back of the belt lol. My guess is smaller teeth like a qidi plus 4. Unless the belt is tightened with a torque wrench.
I did post an idea to use a v style belt where the flat section had teeth but the V parts were smooth. Ride on the smooth part for smooth idlers and the toothed part for toothed idlers.
excuse my awesome digital art skills. The teeth are drawn sideways, but hopefully the drawing makes enough sense.
I’ve read people talking about Bambu Lab presenting something at TCT Asia 2025 in Shanghai. However, Bambu Lab does not appear to be on the exhibitor list:
With the photos they have given us for the H2D, I am currently using some serious processing power to deblur the image. If I am successful, ill post them here. Wish me Luck!
