This one always looked like it had the “random, real looking details, that add up to nothing on closer inspection” that is the hallmark of AI generated tech objects.
I’ll buy one if it has an integrated Aquanet dispenser. Not for adhesion just for ambiance and nostalgia.
I hope it’s better than that, the screen kinda look shxt to me for a 3k range printer based on what’s shown
Do you have a link for the first few images?
I took a stab at warping the photo straight, reversing the intense JPEG macroblocking, fixing the reflected light, and enhancing the detail. I didn’t draw anything in. You might be able to pick out just a little more in the depths of the image…nothing much new I can see (it’s a low-rez, poorly focused photo of a plain-paper print…) but I thought I’d share in case others see anything.
I did a few crop-ins for convenience. sorta.
(I know it’s not for certain… but I hope the AMS is in the same enclosure - then my desiccant boxes will still fit hehe) I mean I’ll be the first to remix them for it of course if it is different but I did sort of hope they’d be made obsolete by built in drying capability)
The one thing not already addressed: the logo, if you have an X1C or P1, have a look at your printer and the AMS… there are 2 versions of the Bambu Lab logo in use by them, the one with the notch appears mostly when the logo is standalone, but when it is coupled with a product title, it is a simplified version with a slightly different logotype.
Interesting find but from what I can see, it’s actually on things that can open (hence the B having something like a door or a lock). On my A1 it’s only on the front face of the toolhead. It’s the plastic face that can detach to replace the nozzle. In your second pic I recognise the door handle. No idea what’s in the last pic. Is it the door or one of the panels that can’t be taken down?
As for the rest of the thread. The original pic, unless someone intentionally trying to mislead us like with the x1e, then I don’t see a problem. Someone already mentioned that marketing materials are mostly rendered. I did that as well a long time ago, only using 3ds max and photoshop. And you obviously can make mistakes with the lighting.
I’ve seen leaks of video cards and what not from China, over the years. A lot proved to be real. Some not. Why the low resolution pics? They are not allowed to take photos, so no smartphone. I guess they used some of those small cameras used for IoT.
Dual extruder will make things a lot faster. Right now changing the color takes a lot of time and require a lot of purging. For 2 colors, or a normal filament plus a support filament, no purging required. I think there still might be a need for a tower because the stale filament might not be as good, or if kept hot there will be leaks (oozing). Still, one of those photos confuses me. We have two nozzles, that is understandable, but then I see one channel or rather no channels for tubes at some point (in the pic going from 4 to 2).
It’s better to wait for an official announcement. But if it’s true, I’ll be putting money in the piggy bank to buy it because it won’t be cheap.
Edit: I’m taking my time reading the post, there are over 100 new messages since I last checked
Definitely it won’t have the now average price tag. It will most certainly go way above the X1E current 2.5k price tag. Reckon it will range somewhere between 3k and 4k… or even go close to the XL price… So better start filling that piggy cause you’re gonna need it every cent and penny.
Assuming for a second that the end result is similar to these photos, I wonder if they’ll announce 2 printers, a 350 cube single nozzle to compete with qidi, Creality and everyone else, that will be priced around 1500 and the dual nozzle version for 2500+.
Support for x1 ends in 2 years. I don’t think customers will continue to keep buying new units if they know that their closed source device is going to be unsupported not long after purchase.
And I don’t think BL will want to cede market to competition.
Only way to go is to have something to compete with plus4, k2 et al
Im sure there will be a p series later.
Don’t think the new one will be less than 3k, if not even much higher, like around 4k. Bambu said that much in their Tweets. As for the end of life support for their gen 1 printers, Bambu may fulfill their own promise and render their firmware open source, as they should have been in the first place. I reckon the gen 2 will carry a different firmware. We’ll just have to wait and see what exactly will happen then.
lol. looks like a old fashioned bedslingger to me.
I recognized the image from a stock photo site. It is more than likely an AI generated image of a generic printer used in Publishing.
If you do a search, you’ll find the image used as a Hero Banner on numerous websites.
This is one of the reasons I do not trust anything I see on the Internet. The AI generated stuff is just too good and can fool even the most keen eye.
Here’s another version. Looks real doesn’t it?

Funny how these AIs seem to like very much Prusa’s color scheme…makes one wonder.
As people quote those 2 tweets, they leave out one key word: “consumer”. Imho 3k printer is not a consumer printer. X1E is not a consumer printer.
Actually, with practice, you can make DALL-E create 90% of this image by telling it to use specific colors and giving it a sample image to follow.
How does this one look? I know the author of this one personally and it is a fabrication.
they clearly said prosumer not hobbyists or average consumers. Check it out for yourself.
