After the latest X1C firmware update (unsure if related) spool 1 in my AMS keeps rolling back and forth. It works flawlessly when printing, but after retracting again, the spool continuosly turns back and forth.
Does anyone else have this issue?

I have the same issue when I keep Bambu Studio open in the background on any PC/Mac. The movement is meant to show you what slot you selected in the device tab. Try closing Bambu Studio or selecting the external spool in the device tab.
Darn it, you’re right! It does indeed show which slot is selected in Bambu Studio!
As such this could be a handy function, but as I leave Bambu Studio open all day, the AMS keeps spinning all day too… Would have been better if it only span briefly after selecting the spool. I don’t see the need for continuously spinning it back and forth.
Thanks for your reply!
I suspect it’s related to the update cycle, where the system briefly wakes your app from the background to keep the window up-to-date. Therefore, the Bambu Studio thinks you just opened the screen again. When you select a slot from the Device tab, it usually only spins it once. An option to disable that feature altogether would be nice!
