Spool rubbing on AMS

Hello, today i noticed some scratches on my top cover of the AMS Unit from my P1S.
A filament spool scratched on the AMS Cover, the Problem is I don’t know which Filament it was.
Currently I only have original Bambu filament left so I could not test it out which spool it was, this is why I am asking…

I used some cardboard spools from Polymaker in the past but I think those cardboard spools could not make those scratches.
I also used Sunlu and Esun Filament but when I remember correctly, those spools have a bit of a smaller diameter than the Bambu spools.
I also used the rest of my Prusa Filament, does someone have experience with them?

I think all of my used filaments were free to use in the AMS so for future orderings I want to know which ones don’t fit correctly or are a bit to big for the AMS.

Yeah, I recently noticed this on my AMS 2 Pro in the middle 2 slots. I have one spool that jumps but that’s a cardboard esun spool and those scratches cannot be rubbed away. any solution to this?

  1. We highly recommend using filament with plastic spools that fit correctly inside the AMS. (Please refer to Swapping the new filament with Bambu Reusable Spool) If you prefer to use cardboard spools, we strongly advise using a Spool Adapter/Spool Adapter Ring to reduce the risk of slippage and debris getting left behind in the AMS

Furthermore, it may be necessary to weigh down the spools because they are too light and bounce, especially when the filament is nearing its end. You can also find some solutions on this on Makerworld.
