Stage 1 feeder issues

Hi all. Got a problem with my ams on one slot.

It ran out of filament during a print and then when I tried to replace it, it wouldnt load. The filament won’t push down through the feeder even though I am moving the button.

When I remove all filaments from the AMS all the lights do come on so it is getting power. There is no red light or anything like that. Would appreciate any help. The first photo shows a slot that is working and you can see the gears are disengaged. The second photo is the non loading one.
Thanks

Have alook at the problem solving on Bambu Wiki maybe this will be of assistance AMS first stage feeder troubleshooting | Bambu Lab Wiki

Thanks. Had a read of that earlier and none of the issues appear to fit. My LED is not on all the time or red. It blinks like all the others when all slots are free. But the gear is jammed upwards compared to the others as you see from the photos.

Appreciate any help

Hi all,

Just closing this off in case anyone else has the same issue. I opened a ticket and they told me to remove the impacted feeder and swap it to another slot. As I took it out and removed the tubing from underneath the lever you use when loading filament moved. I played a hunch and then refitted the tubing and the feeder and it now has been working.

And just adding an update. Same issue with my other AMS. It happens using Bambu Filament (Matte) when it runs out during a print. i.e. the stage 1 feeder locks as if there is filament loaded and won’t take new filament.

And again. the solution is to remove the feeder. use an Allen key or similar to push the internal cogs back and then put back together. Working again.
