On the topic itself and certainly not 100% correct, so use it with caution:
The thing with the pirated copies, even Rolex has done bulldozing operations. The only thing that helps is limiting the damage. May marking… then at least every robbery brings at least some publicity… and anyone who can create a Makerword account will probably also be able to do an account with hostgator. But everyone shouldn’t forget that not only a copyright exist, names can also be protected - so no one want a name that is already used in trademark law.
So just the marking works wonders - but then you also have to prove the date of creation (because then people can also come that you have put your name on there model, so a proof that you were there 5-10 years earlier is may therefore mandatory or maybe helpful when things getting tough) Possibly a non-public time lapse on YouTube? You can always send the link quickly and there will be no more questions where the model came from and when it was drawn… But just the drawing is probably intellectual property, there is still patent law and that is a completely different story
and since when has China not had copying laws? But just be right and get right are two very different things. Than quicker someone understand this, than better it is for himself… and then the lawsuit should be worth it and not cost more than it brings in - otherwise you will go bankrupt by arguing. And just in case it’s a 15 year old who makes some money on Etsy with dad’s 3D printer… In such a case it’s not even worth writing an email … than someone would spend his life with arguing and will earn nothing from it 
And at least the Marking in the beginning probably only brings benefits than damage. If anyone thinks Bambulab is playing with the point awarding at Makerworld Sankt Klaus, this person also believes in the Easter bunny. Then it is probably more likely that the person don’t know how to deal with it yet…
and by the way, the genius who came up with the idea that someone can buy models on Fiver to put them on Merkerworld… Of course, there are only people on Fiverr who never take anything off the internet and sell it on… The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus probably are existing really…
