Strange things right out of the box

SO I went and tried to print the Benchy right from the machine menu and when it printed it did this:

I was going along perfectly then it hiccupped, but i let it finish out until it hit the top of the cabin and broke the front part there… is there an adjustment I am not using properly?

This is literally day one for me so noob in training here

I have a p1s Combo using the AMS system. Bambu White PLA filament

Looks like the chamber temp might be to hot. Are you printing with the door closed and the glass lid on?

Yessir I have both closed and the AMS sitting on the top glass door

Try reprinting it with the door open. PLA doesn’t like the chamber getting too warm. There are lots of mods to lift the glass lid or prop the door open when printing PLA.

I belive JonRaymond is spot on.

Have a look here

SO I did what was suggested and it still did very similar results:

It still looks like it failed in the same spot as before and the nozzle somewhat hit the front window of the bridge

I am wondering is this is maybe a filament issue? Is it possible that the PLA quality is an issue?

What speed mode do you have the printer set to?

SO bear with me as I a super new, where would one see this setting?

From the screen, the second menu (the nozzle), then select the Rocket symbol and it will display 4 options.

Standard. Thank you I was looking in the studio app lol apologies

This isn’t normal.

Is your part cooling fan spinning while printing? The fan right below the “Bambu Lab” on the print head. You can test it by turning it on from the display or from Bambu Studio.

Have you had the same results with any different PLA? Your printer probably came with 2 partial spools.

Could that be support filament? Guessing out loud.

Oh that is EXACTLY the problem. I don’t know how I missed that. Great catch

Are you sure about that, and/or did your AMS recognize it as such from the RFID? The reason I’m asking is a good number of users has tried to use the “Support for PLA” that is shipped with printers as a product sample (and happens to be white) thinking it’s actual PLA.

Lol I can run teams of devs for days but apparently cannot read  I am assuming that is not what we should be using then

I appreciate the help and now to go find the “hooked of phonics” guidebook for dummies
