Studio won't conect to printer

Ah so its a global issue?

Nice to hear I guess -.-

Switched to LAN mode, didn’t work until I logged out in Bambu Studio.

Can now print via LAN. Guess that does not work while logged in to a dead server

NO update on there STATUE Since 10h18 ??? now its 13:41 here in France… WTF!

It will be interesting to see how many users go LAN only mode, or switch to the custom firmware.

If I were running a print farm, I would be pissed off.

Please check the status page for updates about the current status

Our team is still working on solving the problem. We apologize for the delay.

I guess the private person will be more pissed off than a print farm runner.

When running a print farm, you probably print the same thing over and over again, so you probably use the files which are stored on the printer itself.

Yeah good point.

Regardless, there are going to be ALOT of pissed off users.

That is not an option in my case. Sad.

Could not log into the forum or the BBL site until just now.
So have been having to export from BBL studio using export plate sliced file - copy this to the SD card using my PC, put the SD card back in the printer then print from the touch screen

It seems to work again - at least here.

This information is very important!

I experienced this outage in Japan, and I kept trying to connect while logged in, but it was unsuccessful, until I saw your post.
After learning your information, I was able to connect to the printer while logged out and had no problems (except for the issue of not being able to connect to the cloud).

Yep! I just noticed: Cloud is still not working as expected.
But the printer and Bambu Studio are online again.
I’m sure cloud service will follow soon.
ā– ā– ā– ā–  happens - updates can always be problematic.
Thank you to the admins @ Bambu for fixing the problem!

Seem like it is running again. I have just started a print over the cloud

I have the same problem, no connection to the printer possible. although connected to the wifi error message ā€œwifi not reachableā€ this has been going on for quite some time. time zone western europe/berlin. this is maximum worst case.
logging in to register with bambulab is also not possible. all not good and no recommendation.

If there is a problem with the cloud connection you don’t need to switch to LAN mode to print. Just select the arrow down next to ā€œPrint plateā€ in BS and select ā€œSendā€. BS then sends the gCode file directly to the printers SD card and you can start the print job via the screen.

Glad I could help! Took me a while to figure out why I could not use LAN

Damn that worked! But how!? No need for cloud?

Will look into sending direct to the printer. Not happy with Bambu’s cloud and their inability to keep it outage free.

The cloud is someone else’s computer is so true. You get their expertise, their hardware, their security practices, etc.

Kind of tired of cloud stuff anyway. It’s been my experience that ā€œthe cloudā€ is an overused weakness built into far too much stuff.

Bambu needs to enable all the cloud stuff in direct connections. So tired of other people’s computer systems, maintenance, and hardware choices causing trouble for end users. ā€œThe cloudā€ is a pig in a poke.

There are currently 51 entries in the Halloween contest.

This is despite the contest entry page not being open for entries 8 hours ago the last time I checked before the outage.

Many entries were uploaded days ago and despite the rules requiring entries to be from today only, they are entered into the contest.

I wonder how much of this is related to the outages?

I haven’t had any points since the outage started and get some several times an hour on average.

I wonder how much the outage affected this. Clearly some people have been printing, downloading and uploading, yet not enough for points?

It seems that I am logged in again and can see the printing process of my P1S via my PC app. It is printing (from SDcard) so I cannot test if I can send a file for printing through the web
