Successful Prints

Nobody mentioned he has the FLSun S1. It’s almost off in a corner though.

@streetsports: how do you like it?

I created this file myself. It’s a bit more complicated to create than it looks, but I think I can say I’m proud of it.

Immense pride when I go from blank shapr page to a full print. Old news for most of you but I just started last week.

This handcrafted vase is a modern interpretation of the ancient amphora. The omission of handles and the addition of a wide base give it a fresh, contemporary look. The finish and earthy tones recall the origins of the amphora.

I now have two models in the Puzzle category - puzzling.

I am also working on making it a travel version of a puzzle I made months ago.

Puzzle Cube.

Do Baby Wipes require a telescopic holder? Yes, if the wipes come packaged in soft bags.
The holder need to collapse as the wipes are being used.

Modeling this holder in SOLIDWORKS was a pleasure. If you use Kirkland Baby Wipes, you can download the print profile using this link:

Sound deadener for around my subwoofer. To keep the HOA happy and not have to stick anything to the wall. 1/2" felt board with 2 inch foam.

It’s been a while so I figure I’d drop an easy but impressive model from Maker World
I used my own settings
X1C printer
Printed parts individually and glued together (no need for AMS pooping)
Printed using Eryone pla black, Esun pla white, CTC red pla, and Esun galaxy red (because I didn’t have pink)
Behold, Sylvester The Cat

Ignoring my hatred of the early promotion of national holidays, I decided to put one together.

My Latest Fidget Spinner - Spinner4 Pumpkin is now available.

You can opt for an optional Jack-o’-Lantern face cut into the side and optional stems can be screwed into the top and bottom.

The very same high-quality professional spin that my followers have come to love and rely on.

Seasonal coasters…

 How do you insert those MakerWorld panels with a preview, BTW? [Thx for the answers]

Copy the link to the model page from the web browser and simply paste it into the text (not as a link, just as text).

You can paste any link into the edit window and provided it has the correct attributes (sometimes called social tags) it will then create a “social card” automatically.

This is the URL I used as an example, formatted so it doesn’t generate the card so you can see the source URL.

So I love magnets. Magnets make anything better. So…

Same here, I love magnets.

The only problem is, statistically, users don’t want to print something that requires them as they either don’t have them, won’t buy them or think it is too much hassle.

I have half a dozen magnet based models awaiting artwork before I upload them and a dozen more in prototype stage, because I design for me and if someone else wants it, then that is a bonus.

My battery lid cases are doing ok, no instant success, but, over 6 months, not bad.

My fidget toy range has a limited success Oreo cookie (available in two thicknesses, two more coming), and two very unsuccessful Bourbon biscuit and Custard Cream biscuit. Those are likely because they are U.K. rather than internationally known biscuits.

It’s a fidget spinner, I gave it the name “Spinner4 Pumpkin”, I thought that would make it obvious,

Plus, I create three types of my fidget gyros and spinners; Gyro, FullGyro and Spinner. My followers know.

You should know, there are optional stalks (one shown in the photo) that appear on the top and bottom of the spinner to gives you a wider purchase on the spinner.

I entered that one because it has some reworked geometry and is different enough I think…hope.

The holes are bigger, of course the holes for the magnets. I guess it’s ok to enter it as well?

I wish we had some statistics on common magnet sizes and thicknesses that actually get used in models.

Everyone seems to use different sizes and it makes it harder for users to have a stock.

Some are based on the model itself and popularity wouldn’t be a consideration.

I like to use 6x3 or 6x2. They’re strong enough for most parts. The poop chute I did I used much larger just because of the printers movement and the slightly more added mass once it fills.

I know what you’re saying though. I have quite a few magnet sizes because everyone uses different sizes.

I currently prefer 6x2 magnets.

I have been buying them in boxes of 200’s from Amazon, I have gone through 400+ so far. I have gone through another 500 of various sizes.

I need to order more 6x2’s, but, the seller has run out, which is annoying. They are very cheap, £10 a box.

I also want to make some models with 25x2mm magnets, but, they are rather difficult to find and expensive, usually only available in sets of 10.

In households with children they can also be very dangerous too.

This is one of the reasons I now always embed magnets into my designs.

I can’t even retrieve them from my failed prototypes.

Plus, adults should be adults and keep spare batteries from those who know no better.
