Successful Prints

I have added animated GIFs to my Pumpkin Gyro and Spinner.

You were the impetus for me adding them, despite how much it causes actual physical pain.

I have done a few before, I have a few more for already printed models I have delayed uploading due to this being missing artwork.

Today is a less-worse† day medically for me, I will try and bang a few more out before I collapse. I can then release the models over the next few days.

† Poor grammar, but, it makes the most sense.

I standardized around a certain size of magnet. Sadly I haven’t been able to get Makerworld to stock the specific size though :sleepy:

Awhile go I got a few comments complaining about the size of magnets I used. I thought okay, let’s ask everyone what they think is a good common magnet size. Literally everyone I asked gave a different response.

Everyone has a different idea on what’s ideal. I try and at least keep it consistent with myself.

What is your magnet size preference?

The reason opinions differ is why I think the purchase information would be helpful as it shows what people purchased.

I just found a new source of 6x2mm so I bought 5 boxes of 130 per box, which is more than enough to have them encased in non-functioning prototypes.

Got the lights in and just looking for my remotes for the LED strips to be able to light it up.

For those into funky liqueurs, Malórt has an, uh, reputation.

The light box prints in two pieces to either hang just the logo, or hang/table/shelf mount with the optional base.

Kind of happy with this print. It can be a little bigger printed in two pieces and I made hollow pins and sliding clips to hold the base and pass the wiring. It was a bear, though. I apparently learned something new in Fusion that messed things up until I got whatever I had done, undone. Still don’t know what I learned, but I learned how detect and fix it.

Not posted yet. Taking a break for a few and still need to find those dang light controllers!

Added… Found them!

Here is my latest lightsaber (inspired by Rey at the end of the last movie).

In action (320xAUTO, short)

I have been working on this one for a while. Hoping to upload it in the next week or two. Finishing some design details now that locking function is working.

4D x 6H.

I liked em because they seemed good for my applications, and being able to press fit them securely. I started using that size because it was used on other projects I was printing, from other designers.

I got a bunch of the magnets from the maker supply store though, so I’ll at least try some of the ones they have and see if I can find one that works as well for me.

Are you sure they are 4x6mm d by h?

Those are some tall cylinders.

I can’t even find them for sale anywhere.

Could they be 6x4mm? Hard to find, but not impossible.

@johnfcooley I like that matching stand to your figure stands! Nice. I’ve still got to get some photos together of the ones I’ve got going with my gi-joe figures.

Yeahhhhh

These are the ones I usually link people to. Here On Amazon

I realized they aren’t as easy to find. The popularity of my models that use them too, has caused stock issues with that amazon listing too. Although I think they’re doing better with the stock these days. I have backup links for other stores that sell them though, in all my descriptions where they’re used.

I have finally found some, I only have to have them shipped from the US!!!

Another blow for the U.K.

Stayed up late to get this submitted. Several friends have already requested it, so I figured I needed to get it published.

I hope everyone else finds it as much fun as I do!

It is designed to work with all my previous sabers also. The collection can be found here: Modular Collapsible Saber Parts | Collection - MakerWorld

The Puzzles Contest needed a real puzzle. :grinning:

Do you know where all United States states are located? What about the provinces and territories of Canada?

The deluxe travel case makes sure that no pieces are lost. Moreover, once the case is unfolded, it becomes the perfect canvas for building your puzzle.

Use it for educational purposes or for a cool party game. Print two sets of the puzzle and challenge your friends to see who solves it first.

Everything is printed in place. The case requires support only for the puzzle area. Please consider using PETG for support if you print with PLA filament.

I like The Peanuts and Halloween, so…

This was a lucky success, since the purge tower of the color print went AWOL. Luckily this was face down, so the 1st layer was already OK, and that is what counts here.

Added a magnetically attached stand, to keep mounting options open. Options like…
