Support interface only on one tree branch

I did not want to open up the resolved topic How do I print with supports? (Resolved)

Thanks to @3DTech for the pointers I found there.

So, here we are with a little oddness, which just occured yesterday. The slicer ‘forgets’ the interface on top of one support tree branches. I tried Orca and Bambu Studio and played around with all support settings without any result.

Any ideas?

I usually see this issue with normal supports. Fiddling with some settings often makes interface appear again.

Hi Frank.d

Change your support / object XY distance to like 0.2 you have to find the max setting on this with tree supports with small overhangs.

I had to reset my printer to factory and reinstall the firmware update.

I also did the same for the slicer (not sure that was necessary)

I had a lot of little issues like this that I couldn’t resolve. It was very odd but fixable with a bit of waiting lol… Still less time waiting to reinstall than dealing with 100% support failure.

Alright, changing the support / object XY distance to 0.2mm (0.3 is already to much) and the tree support branch diameter to less then 2mm did the trick.

Stange, but at least I now know where to fiddle :slight_smile:
