Support sticks to strong to the object

hi

quite new in the bambu business and more or less just a ‘user’ and really not a specialist, i have some problems with the default support settings in bambu studio. the supports (tree) stick that extremely on my objects that i can’t remove them without breaking the printed objects.

the filaments i use are just PLA and PETG and the slicer settings are the default generic with a layer height between 0.12 ans 0.2mm. can anyone give me a tip which parameters have to be changed so that the support can easier be removed from the printed object. i don’t have an AMS

You need to go to the Support settings increase the space on the Top Z distance (this is the space between the top of the support and the part). Then you can also increase the Support/object X/Y distance (the space between the sides of the support and the part).

Just slowly increase the distance between these so it’s easier to break apart but still supporting your part.

thank you! i’ll give a try

Did you managed to get it fixed with this? Having the same issue… And with what kind of steps did you try?

What do we set the Top Z Distance (first setting) to? The settings you showed are the defaults.

I’m also using PETG as support filament for PLA.

Id reckon double it? might be extreme but may hap not as well. Im going to do some testing on this exact question soon. Question? what speed are you printing petg at?

Printing PLA marble, first print supports inside a 3*3 void on the build plate could not be removed. Adjusted the Z axis from the default 0.2 to 0.4 and the supports stayed on the build plate when the model was removed. Perfect, thank you.
