Im gonna be so amused on 25th
Well, if this modularity with laser and cutter will be confirmed⊠and donât know. All I want is a printer, something like P1S with A1 toolhead and slightly bigger print volume. But this? Jack of all trades. Iâm not shure it is a best way.
If the leaks are to be believed (and at this point it seems pretty solid to me), there will be a non-laser version of the printer you could get. Later theyâll release an upgrade kit for those who want it.
Edit: Having two models was probably their best bet. People like me see this and go âWoah, the number of things I could make with this!â And are (probably, depending) willing to fork over the cash for such a device. But I feel like most people, especially on here, are thinking âBut I just wanted a fancier 3D printer, I donât need all this stuffâŠâ, so you get the best of both markets. Then they wait a couple months for reviews to circulate and, assuming theyâre good and the printer is everything itâs being hyped up to be, convince some people to buy the upgrade kit for a bit of a premium. After all, itâs cheaper than having to buy a whole new printer when you know for a fact yours could already do it
more popcornâŠBL startet this blurry theater and thats the answer
I expected 2 versions, but only 1 released now. Looks like they are releasing 2 now if the leaks are correct. I expected the lower version to be an even more stripped down version of what I am seeing getting the price under 2k, but looks like I was wrong there. I do think they are going to price out a lot of hobbyist with the price of this one though. Still think they will sell a decent amount though. I might buy one, but may wait a bit if it is in the 2.5k-3k range. I am a hobbyist who has turned it into a small side gig though and I do think I could pay for it pretty easily with my earnings. I just have more urgent things to do with my earnings than another printer.
But buying a Elegoo Centauri Carbon and a seperate decent lasercutter is still around half the price this machine probably is going to cost.
Besides that Iâm not verry sure a lasercutter is a verry good idea inside a closed box (which it should be) loaded with cameras and sensorsâŠ
I have no doubt this will be the marketing model. My only hesitation on the laser isnât actually having or not having the functionality, but the marketing of the laser itself. I think a lot of people have caught on by now but a few years back when these little consumer laser were coming out with like 7w lasers and such they were marketing the input voltage, not the actual output a lot of the time. I have a 10w Creality Falcon that I used for one or two specific reasons. I would love to dump it and have the option of using this printer for the small amount of laser cutting i do just to free up the space for another printer. I hope its limitations are made known before purchase time though cuz if its more of a novelty feature, iâll stick with my standalone.
If indeed there is a âbaseâ model which i imagine would be more like a none laser bundle, i still expect it to price over whats available now as to not compete with say the X1C, pushing the WITH LASER MODULE bundle a good bit higher. Think, laser module, maybe air assist, better filtration somehow perhaps, kill switch perhaps, maybe a couple of safety extrasâŠ
This is the space I currently have, a single IKEA Lack table. Iâve wanted a laser cutter, a mini-lathe, and a CNC machine for a while but I simply have no more room for things unless I want it to permanently take up half of my project desk. To me this machine sounds like exactly what I need.
EDIT: Also, no need for a separate air pump for air assist is a big plus for me. My printer is next to a window so Iâll evac particulate there most likely, Not sure how much I trust the inbuilt filter yetâŠ
Agree. Stirred up everyone trying to sharpen images, find hints, look for leaks. Donât get me wrong, Iâm glad they gave a date. It seems like their goal was to distract from the TCT Asia by having this slow release of features at the same time.
I just want to order one as soon as I can.
Please make it less than 2000 pounds or make it over that and make a p1p equivalent eventually
I donât think itâll weigh that much. Probably 100 tops.
this is a joke
3000 Euro or less with ams (about 2500 pounds) would be instand buy for me.
3000 to 4000 euro (3350 pounds) i would crunch my teeth, but if it reaches 4000 euro, i only can order it without filament to print something with itâŠ
And i am not ready to sloughter my piggy bank for something to play around with.
The optimal price would be a maximum of 2800 Euro for me with ams. That would be 2350 pounds.
Come on buddy, we need more unblurred photos please!!!
Itâs too late, BBL got them already
Why? Does it not make sense that they would want a reference to frame all the values form their â15 strategically positioned sensorsâ, to make sure those sensor are not gathering nonsense readings?
Why do you guys keep tossing out these big price numbers? Do you want BL to increase the price they already set?
If this went the usual way products are made, the price (or a range) was set before actual work began. Then engineers went to work to make it happened within that price. However, if I were BL and see that many of you already expect a big price and if that expected price is more than what I set, I might increase it to match what you are expecting
Because logic>hope
letters letters
Has anyone noticed the lack of youtube coverage, or is it just me? I bet NDA came into effect and theyâre (they as in youtubers) getting test units, and BBL rather they not keep speculating, and decyphering the drip theyâre giving usâŠ
I first heard about test units going out 6 mionths ago. They cant say anything until the 25th
They probably already send out test units to (pro BL) Youtubers.
But with a lot of things there might be contracts, which say they may not publish content before the release date.
On the 25th Youtube will be loaded with âreviewsâ, so a lot of them probably already edited their âreviewâ content by nowâŠ
