As someone that only creates functional, dimensionally accurate parts in high temp engineering filaments, this is a machine I’ve been waiting for for a very long time.
Prior to this, the gateway to get that done consistently and reliably was in the $1500+ range with an H2 machine. Now you have released a machine that is just as capable for 1/2 the investment. I’m absolutely overjoyed to see this machine come out.
It’s done absolutely everything I’ve thrown at it PERFECTLY. It’s super quiet, super fast, and an absolute insane value for the $$$!
I just wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the folks at Bambu Lab for making this machine. I’ve ordered 3 more and will probably end up with over 30 of them by the end of the year.
This is an absolute game changer for folks like me and I appreciate it!

Today I sold my P1S and P2S to make room for more X2D’s (it’s also 2 less slicer presets I need to deal with).
For anyone wondering, I managed to sell my P2S without the AMS (but with the buffer) for 410 euros within 5 hours and had a couple of offers of 400 euros.
The right nozzle doesn’t do sharp corners very well - I think it’s because the pressure advance response is less linear and hard to compensate for (even after manual tuning), I’m hoping they will do more software magic to improve this. It also strings more with moist filament (you can get away with it easier with direct drive it seems).
However… Now I really worry about the competition going bankrupt though, noone wants a monopoly…

Awesome! I’m very impressed as well. I ordered 3 more of them that should be here by tomorrow. I have not used the right extruder yet and doubt I ever will have a need for it.
I mainly do a couple colors at a time with the 2ndary being identifer / specific markings so the time / purge really isn’t an issue to contain it in one AMS.

Haha, I have 2 more on the way also. I’m not in production so I prob won’t end up with 30 (I’m just a hoarder who didn’t have nice things growing up) but this machine really hits the sweet spot for engineers.

Why? You’d have to spend $1500+ with Bambu previously to get into a printer that was factory equipped to do high temp engineering filaments. Now you are doing that for less than 1/2 the money.
It may not be a game changer for people that use PLA and print figurines, but it most certainly is for people that only use high temp engineering filaments. We finally have a smaller build plate unit, capable, that is inexpensive.
If that’s not a game changer for the genre of printing I do, I don’t know what is lol

“Game Changer” is so overused it means nothing now. Everyone uses it for every device or accessory that comes out. Was watching the new Anycubic resin reviews and everyone called it a “game changer”. Watched the Elegoo C2 reviews. Some things there were “game changers”.
Watched a video on nose hair clippers, which were game changers. Saw some plushie toys that were game changers too.
■■■■, I took a shower and my wife called THAT a game changer.
The X2D is a great printer at a great cost. There is no game to change.
That dear sir, is my point.

Yes.. A printer that does what I want it to do for LESS THAN half the price of the gateway to do that previously for a particular brand is an absolute game changer for me…, you know the person that made the post and explained why.
If it’s not for you, that’s great. Doesn’t change the fact that it is for me.

That just means the game is cheaper for you to play, not that it is a different game.
If you are playing baseball and some one brings a soccer ball and everyone stops playing baseball and starts playing soccer, that’s a game changer.
