My S24 Ultra, according to youtubers had a “game changer” firmware update. After installing it it had 2 new colored icons 
It was indeed a game changer, had i noticed them. Unfortunately they were samsung apps that i don’t use.

Still waiting for my X2D to arrive, but you mentioned functional engineering materials and I just wanna say that Qidi Plus4 is quite a tank for that purpose as well and is in this same pricepoint. It does heat management VERY well but the software is jank lol. I look forward to comparing to the X2’s heat setup. The extra nozzle for support is probably gonna tip the scales in X2’s direction.
…I also am grated by the phrase “game changer” because of gamification of Everything© lol, sounds like an AI wrote it!
The X2D is not insulated so… might help to throw a towel on it.

I’m sure the printer prints well but the bed size is unfortunate. I won’t find out personally how good it is. I’m done with 256mm. Anything I consider in the future will be at least 300mmx300mm.
I disagree. 256mm will be around for awhile.
Large format printers are nothing new. One of my first was a CR10 with a 300x300x400 build volume and that is a 10 year old printer by now.
256mm^2 is a good compromise for size, speed, and cost. We can see this in the Bambu ecosystem. The H series has been out for awhile now, but most people are still buying P2,X2, and A1 printers.
Not sure what you’re disagreeing with, I think 256mm will be around for a while also.
I’m just telling you how I feel about 256mm personally and won’t buy another one that size as long as I have my a1’s.
I really liked my Qidi Plus4, but I sold it when I decided to get the H2C. It printed some things great, but also had a lot of problems that I always felt saddled with. I fixed it, got it working great - and then sold it for 400 bucks. The guy who bought it was happy, as he had one he loved. Good. 
X2D content: So far, 2/3rds of the way through the first print with a relative difficult material to print, it’s working real nice:
It replaces a printer that had that exact same size (X1C). I like it, because I have limited room and that slid right in to the spot the X1C used to occupy. I have a 500mm printer, a 320mm printer, a 300mm printer, an H2C, X2D and A1 mini, and that’s what I have room for.
No offense, huh?
There’s the H2 series if you want a larger build plate. I’m just really confused here. You won’t get a 300mm near the XD price.
Bed Leveling heat settings I’m sure is on that list of problems lol. I feel ya.

The next closest in price to the X2D that I see is the H2S at nearly double price of the X2D in Canada. For me that’s a lot of money for a larger build plate.
That’s my point. You won’t be anywhere near the X2D price when looking for another printer with same features but bigger plate.
If you want the size you’re going to be forced to pay for it.
