Theory with what they are doing with the recall

My theory is they know they screwed themselves with this design and no matter what people are going to be waiting a quarter of a year to a half a year before everything is done about this problem.

I think because the amount of people open to jumping to the P1S or X1C, and the amount asking for this. I think they are going to end up giving some discount code to anyone who wants to jump to the other printers. Like a 20% for the X1C and 10% for the P1S (this keeping the price up, but making it where people think they are getting a deal.)

It’s just they are trying to figure out how much of a discount

Also if they will refund the gear you got for the A1

I don’t think so, that would kill the A1.
They are giving you the parts fro Free.
I think it’s gonna be more like…take it or leave it…JMO

ya they are starting shipping the fix next week and its only effected 14 confirmed units so far so this is not a disaster by any means

Where did you get that info from?

Support, legally under a recall they have to state the amount of units that failed catastrophically if asked and in some countries the documentation also

The corporation I work for has to do it on occasion so I’m very used to the entire process and politics of it

No one can get any response from support besides a template answer and we are to believe they just handed over this sensitive info to some random guy? :joy:

Wow aren’t we adult, this is a civil forum and yes I contacted them 3 days ago and fallowed up. This is simple stuff. Act civil and have a discussion what your doing is just childish

Then you sure can post the answer of them stating the 14 cases?

hat’s off to your end goal here, to say I’m 14 or something and make fun of an age you made up? Hats off to you on this intellectual venture of yours.

But really what your goal in trying to besmirch me in an odd way but still I’m curious. What’s to gain from it. Are you mad you didn’t have access to similar info? Or is it just a puff out your chest I’m alpha thing

You’re making a bold claim, it’s reasonable for people to doubt it and ask for proof.
It would be childish to take it at face value and not question it, it’s also childish to get all defensive over a simple request.

So, will you post proof of this claim?

I’m being childish? You didn’t request anything you just made derogatory comments at me and laughed. Think you should re evaluate your position lol

It was 16 confirmed as of 2 days ago that’s what I know, I won’t show the message as it would dox me entirely I’m not stupid. It’s not a bold claim either stuff like this happens in very small numbers hardly ever it’s it truly widespread. Again I’ve seen first hand the other side of this time and time again.

If you have any info or expertise please share I would love to get more info and learn. Just drop the child’s name calling and stuff, it’s just sad

Sorry, I agree with others… You can’t just drop claims in here like that without some proof. Nobody is attacking you - just seeking the facts. What does ā€œconfirmedā€ mean? I am going speculate and say that there are MANY more who have the kinks in the cable (me being one of them) than this. So does ā€œconfirmedā€ mean all of the above, or only cables that have melted/burned and failed? What does it mean?

There is definitely more the 16 people with damaged cable. Not to mention in order to confirm a case wouldn’t support actually have to make contact with someone. I know there are lots of us who never got a response to our ticket other then the automated ones.

This.

It is nothing new the support is extremely slow and one of the worse parts in the company. Like the team seems to be good, but they just don’t have enough people and it takes too long to get a reply. They honestly need to spread it out over multiple time zones and use AI for parts of the support to offload the basic stuff it can handle.

Do you have evidence to back up what you said? Like I care more about this part of your statement.

Can you show anything to back that up? If you do, thanks

Perhaps they will start to ship that shitty little plastic ā€˜cable protector’ next week, but that’s not THE real solution by any means…

Wow calm down, it means what I said, they had 16 cases they had back at engineering. AGAIN THAT DOSE NOT MEAN THATS ALL, but it’s not a huge number either maybe a thousand or so. And I can say what I want. Would you rather I lie and just shoot it out my ass that 2 billion were affected. No l just tell the facts. Now why don’t you actual contribute to the conversation instead of acting like a fake mod

ah, more claims and even calling them ā€œfactsā€ this time but still nothing to back it up.
