In all seriousness though, this is taken from the BL official wiki quick start guide, this can be construed a few different ways for different users. An edit may be necessary to leave it on the side opposite the display or design the foam in the box to be used to tilt the printer for final assembly. Also include a chain cable guide on the SD card for initial printing test and installation.
Maybe they updated it, but the Wiki states this Flip the base housing 90 degrees to the side opposite to the screen and carries on to show the unit on itâs side, not back. Seems pretty clear now (pictures even show the bed power cable coming out to the right side of the view).
Lol, not quite sure where you came up with that theoryâŚSMH
Wow. This is really a small situation that will be handled quickly, and you can do it yourself if you want.
They came right out with a recall to remedy the situation ASAP. Can you say the same for your auto manufacturer?
Keep reading down, that section is for disassembly if i recall. Look for the section on getting started.
you have no idea what youâre talking about at all. all your messages are super odd or flat-out wrong and you attack everyone. go outside and breathe. and stop making â â â â up.
whear are the mods? this is appalling how much bad info is here @moderators
Step 9. But they have pictures so idk.
But looking at it, this isnât good too under step 4.
Look at where the pressure point would be (the cable in question)
you are hilarious, you had a tantrum yesterday, rage quit the forum and now youâre back and attacking people with a new anon username.
umm nope but cute that you think your that special. come here let me pinch those cheeks and tell you your grandmaâs favorite lmao
is your name Mad Nerd just with cute spelling? awwwwww can I keep ya in my pocket? your adorable
oh are you in love with this guy cuz it looks like its the person you talk to most. aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh its gradeschool romance. can i see the ring i bet its a big one lol.
well have fun with this thing. Iâm off to bother more of the dumbest people here, PS thereâs a lot. lots of work to be done. away!!!
So much misinformation or disinformation here (one in the same).
Been working with Bambu support for a few weeks now over a missing ams lite stand. Latest email from them, received Feb 1st
Stated this was a recall in the email, provided me an option to have the missing part shipped, and then get the replacement cable assembly sent over the next 2-3 months, initiate a replacement if I didnât want to do the repair myself, or return the printer for a full refund. They indicated that the recall is for all A1 printer, (suggesting that this problem is possible to occur in all printers manufactured).
They did not tell me to stop using the printer
Based on their official statement and explanation and looking through my experience as a packaging engineer this is my theory as the why the recall and why itâs not for just select lots.
- Cable strain testing was completed on a freshly manufactured printer.
- Care was taken in the packaging design and printers were verified to be functional after exposure to expected distribution and handling conditions.
- There was a failure to recognize that there is possible compression of the device as packaged where the heat bed cable could become pinched or damaged.
- They should have done cable strain testing on a unit after simulated distribution and conditioning
- They likely have done this testing in wake of this recall, and did not get favorable results, and as such are issuing a recall for all A1 printers.
Based on this my opinion and the risks Iâll be taking unless formally notified by Bambu is the following,
if the heat was cable does not show signs of the damage they outlined in their statement I will still be using the printer, as they have alluded to doing strain testing of this cable and have demonstrated that so long as itâs not damaged from other means itâs not going to get damaged from normal use. To be completely honest that cable stiffenr file they provided I donât think serves and functions, I think they made it as a way to soften their statement and reassure A1 users that the printer is still safe to use if there is no visible damage to the cable.
Donât feed the troll. They only die if you ignore them.
It appears they made yet another account and wants to disrupt any communication with spreading false info they canât back up like last time.
They are bored. Just ignore them and they will go away.
If they did any testing at all they would of seen found the issue. But theyâre not to take all the blame All those people on YouTube that had review units also share part of the blame So they didnât actually review it they actually test anything They have the most ran one spool filament through then rather talking points from Bambu and threw it in the corner to be done with it.
Itâs the bend radius thatâs causing this not strain relief You can add more strain relief itâs going to move that bend radius and make it feel at a different point. The only fix that you could do right now would be to change the angle in which itâs coming out to reduce that band radius. Hereâs what happens.
Sharp bend radius and consistent bending in that one point work hardens the copper. After it become work hardened lake Harper does individual strains of the cable start breaking. Every strand that breaks reduces the current handling capabilities of that cable. When that happens more he is introduced in that cable. After a certain amount of strands are broke You could actually do math to figure out exactly how many It is to bring to actually cause a melting failure. But after that the wire starts become hot at that point. Not at any other point because that wire still can carry all the current Itâs that one small area where all that currentâs getting funnel down to a few strands basically youâre running a thinner gauge wire. That starts make heat and causes the cable to melt which can cause a fire and can cause electrical shock. This wasnât oversight or anything This is just a dangerous product design. No 3d printed strain relief is going to fix this.
Bambu is handling this just as we think they would. Absolutely horrible and this till trasnish the name and All that hype they made by giving away these printers to people to do product demos and not actually test them or do reviews is now permanently lost. They have a track record releasing untested faulty hardware now only this time it is now a dangerous product whereas before it wasnât really dangerous it was an inconvenience with the X series. And what makes it even worse is how they are handling everything and trying to hide it.
You are fooling no one. It is quite obvious what you are. Kind of goes along with the characteristic empty arrogance and lame attempts at insults.
By the way, my A1 continues to operate wonderfully. I think that Bambu has created a wonderful product that is the envy of the 3D printing world. The best thing that is going to come out of the cable issue is, that because of all the sillies spinning themselves into a frenzy, Bambu is going to give me a $120 credit which I will apply towards the AMS that I am planning to buy for my P1S.
Everyone here that thinks Bambu is doing the right thing may be being fooled. I have had a problem with the print bed for about a month and they were going to refund and take back my printer before any of you knew of the problem with the cable. Its a deeper problem than what they are telling you. They want to make you beleive that its your fault and its just the cable (just read what they are saying they are not taking any blame or saying it was an engineering problem)! Why would they recall all of the printers if it only affects .01% of all printers sold?
Bigger issue is they are deleting all support tickets of people that were having problems.
All my support tickets were deleted tonight! I was smart enough to make copies of them and will be giving to my Attorneys!
