@MalcTheOracle dude just copied your file and admits it in the comments.
Thanks, I have filed a copyright claim.
The designer seems perfectly happy to admit they downloaded my model, made minor tweaks and uploaded it as if it were their own.
That individual has to have some interesting set of rules they follow.
Essentially
I donât care what the licence says, everyone else hard work is mine for the taking and profiteering.
Had they not added it to the same contest I also added, @johnfcooley may never have spotted it.
All of those are renders too. Dude didnât even include an actual photo of the print. Makes me think he probably didnât even print it, just ripped and posted.
Unfortunately Makerworld doesnât seem to care about the photo requirement anymore. I have reported probably hundreds of models by now. They used to get taken down quite quickly, but that stopped about three or four months ago. I donât even get a reply anymore these days, so I just stopped reporting.
Hopefully they just didnât know any better since the first thing they do is ask if they canât do that. Maybe a young person with no experience with licenses, etc?
Sad to see this⌠I went ahead and reported as well for you
I dunno, has a few models up. I looked for them, didnât find any others but I wasnât that into it. Was more interested in protecting Malcs file.
Another model of mine was blatantly stolen. They also stole two of my photos and failed to provide any of their own.

The original
It is a MakerWorld featured model.

I reported and submitted a copyright claim for you, but the fact that this is happening so quickly is concerning. Makerworld needs some kind of system in place that vets models and photos to see if there are any exact duplicates out there
Thanks, it is normally me helping everyone else with these issues.
I added a copyright claim report in before I mentioned it here, yet I wasnât the one who received the successful report from MW.
I also made a copyright claim against the curves model and that is still available.
Iâm surprised that is still live.

All âhisâ models are suspicious.
23 models uploaded in 48h. And with just a quick look at them. 2 are stolen for sure.
No problem at all, it really steams my vegetables that blatant copies/ripoffs continue to stay up for so long.
I understand Makerworld has a lot of reports to respond to each day, but it seems that more and more are getting overlooked.
Strange that you didnât get a copyright notification, especially since itâs your model. I reported the Curves model as well and sadly havenât gotten a response
I think the uploader of âlogic curve puzzleâ might say that he was inspired by the same game and created a new model? For example:
I have just read that the copyright claim has been rejected that others here already spotted.
It seems the fact the other âdesignerâ admitting he downloaded my version, copied it and then uploaded it with tweaks wasnât sufficient evidence for them to believe he downloaded my version, copied it and then uploaded it with tweaks!
He was âinspiredâ by my version and not any other as he already admitted and said that is acceptable. MW who tell us we must follow the rules, adhere to licences and not steal, yet again, ignored their rules, donât adhere to licences and ignored their rules.
They then announce a tightening of rules for print profiles that they already fail to enforce most of the entries I have just reread, each time suggesting that rules werenât broken that they have listed.
It seems they will go after some people, but, most get a pass.
Too early for meâŚ
I responded to him. Itâs not that he decided to use the game, but that he didnât bother to create the file he uploaded, nor did he print it. I donât believe he did anything other than create a render and upload.
I stand by scummy.
