I have the TPU assist module on an X2D and all is working great so far with Bambu 85A but bambu studio appears to keep forgetting whatever configuration i have. I do have a 0.6mm main nozzle and 0.4 in the secondary. This throws an alert whenever I preview even though I am only doing one color via the main. It always warns me about synchronizing even after I have done it, and more warnings about how to feed filament. When I finally hit print, it still says there is a mismatch between the TPU I assigned, and what is in nozzle 1, but I can click on nozzle 1, and the only option is external TPU - selecting this clears the alert.
Is there any way to make Bambu studio aware that I have the assist module, and limit the warnings?
I probably have to do another print and post pictures, unless someone has been through this and has a fix.
I am only using the left hand for TPU. I don’t plan to use the right hand nozzle when doing TPU, so it seems like a wasted effort to just change out the nozzle. But I guess I can change the printer config to think it has 2 0.6mm installed.
Hi Tad, in the Studio project do you have the same nozzle size selected for both sides? (I’m not sure it’s even possible to set them to be different, but just checking.)
I’m not sure which mismatch warning you’re referring to… can you get a screenshot or link to an example?
As far as the TPU Assist module in general, that’s completely passive (external) and neither the printer nor the slicer know anything about it. So any undesired warnings need to be cleared out some other way. The generic “you’re printing with TPU” popup warning I thought stopped showing up after the first time, or maybe can have “don’t show again” selected…? I haven’t seen that one in a while!
