Updated gift card expiration dates?

I redeemed makerworld points for a few gift cards last March. The app says “valid for one year after purchase” on these gift cards. Today I got an email with the subject “Reminder to use your Bambu Lab gift cards” that lists the expiration date for these gift cards as March 2027.

Any word on whether Bambu is extending the expiration date on old gift cards?

Would be new to me, my latest status is “Valid for 10 years after redemption”.

older cards have validity of one year, newer ones (since Nov’24) have a validity of 10 years.

I would look at getting some shopping done with those vouchers @Halfway_Engineered if i were you

Here’s what I see when I click the links in the email.

Would be nice to use these towards the new printer rather than just more filament for the stockpile.

Makes sense, maybe reach out to support to see if they have extended, otherwise you might risk loosing if it’s just a typo (when they launched the 10 year validity it was also applying to old vouchers but then they adjusted it again to 1 year)

I got a reminder for a few gift cards that I redeemed at the beginning of this month, even though the expiration date is 10 years from now. I think this is some kind of a Friday reminder sending thing.

But your expiration date in 2027 is kind of odd. Yes, you probably shoiuld contact MW to double confirm that your old cards’ expiration date has been extended for a few years.

Judging by an email I got today saying that the top license creators by March 31 would get an early shipment of the new flagship, it won’t be coming for quite some time.

I read that invite and had the same question. But the new flagship printer can still be released before March 31. It could also just mean that the creator with the highest commercial license sales gets one flagship printer for free,

I got the same email showing 2027 on a bunch of cards that I thought were expiring in the next couple weeks.

perhaps its one of the old batch? i got the notification yesterday and looked all 14 i currently have are 10 year exp dates… i have one from a contest though I wonder if those are 10 year exp as well since those dont show up on the list…

just looked and it seems the contest cards have a shorter redeem period mine says good til 2027 also noticed now you cant view the cards in email link any longer when you click “view gift card” button @MakerWorld @Tanklet is this a temp error. I cant view my contest winning ones to get the info anymore… i did write it down luckily but it might cause problems for others. When you click it it goes to a “page not found” blank page

They stated that the winner would be “the very first group of user to ever experience our new flagship” which makes me think they’ll get it before general availability.

I just checked and noticed the same thing on the contest cards, so its not just you. Hopefully it will be fixed shortly.

For the actual cards it seems to be all original 1 year ones are 3 years

Since they show an expiration when you click from these links, and they don’t list an expiration on your makerworld redemption page (just the one year from redemption note), I tend to trust the 2027.

just noticed if you click the links in the reminder email with multiple cards, they do show the card info and preview, just not the original email with individual cards, but that is a problem for the contest winning cards as they dont tie them to your account, which they should or have a way for you to add them to your account

Umm, I somehow didn’t interprete that as the winner getting the printer before general release, mainly because I didn’t put too much thought on the meaning of the “first group”, such as who else in this group and for what reason will have the opportunity to experience the printer other than buying it. But you may have a point here.

doesnt someone or a couple of people have a “golden ticket” they won for a free flagship when released… i thought there was a contest for that

Yeah, there is

same issue. can no longer view the gift card so unable to redeem without code.

@MakerWorld @Tanklet can we figure this out? some may not have saved their codes thinking the email would still be able to display it. The contest winner codes are not tied to our accounts for whatever reason so the only resource we have to view them or redeem them is via that email, which now leads to a broken webpage. As it shows on the email “save this email or write down number.”

There has been a contest with this new printer as the main reward more than one year ago.

Ok just a warning if you won a gift card via contest and havent copied and saved your card number, it may be lost forever.

I opened a ticket on the issue and they told me they no longer send emails (even though it doesnt seem they even read my issue as i didnt ask if they sent emails)…

I told them how you can no longer view those codes via email as the “view gift card” button leads to a broken page now.

luckily I copied all of my codes but some may have relied on the button always working since they tell you to keep the email or copy code and not copied your code.

So currently there is no way to recover your code and they dont tie those to your account so you cant view in redemption history and there is not tool to either add those cards or even verify them. The only way to verify those is to put something in cart and apply them without checking out completely.

@MakerWorld @Tanklet hasnt replied her about it so i opened the ticket. Will update if I get some type of answer. It needs to be fixed somehow.
