I can’t add a new model on makerworld.com
The 3D file is made by me, I’ve added in the past without problems but this time for 1 week I can’t upload anything new.
I always get the same error at the last step
"Please use “brick” instead of “LEGO”
I tried 3 different browsers, windows, mac, different PC and nothing, at the last step to finalize, I get this error.
Sounds like your title/description has the word “Lego” in it?
Nothing like this, it has no connection at all. Practically nothing works, I’m out of touch.
Words like “Elegoo” will trigger this as well.
WOW, incredible, I can’t believe it. That’s exactly what it was, it was a part for the elegoo resin printer, and I had this word in the description. It worked as soon as I delete the word.
Thank you very much for everything, I would never have thought of that.
Saved me!
i have this exact issue but however I haven’t used the world lego in any titles or descriptions not even the word elegoo either. cant upload a model because of the "Please use “brick” instead of “LEGO” error
It would be really easy for the website to check if the word being used is elegoo to avoid the issue.
They could also check for whitespace characters on either end of lego to see if the user is actually saying lego but they’d need to check for non-alphabet characters too like quotes, parentheses, or other ways to encase lego so it slips through the cracks.
i think there’s more to it i haven’t used to work at all and its driving me nuts I’ve gone through every step of the upload a crazy amount of times yet it still says it
My guess is they just are string searching for “lego”. Your text may not mention elegoo but I bet there’s a word in there somewhere that contains lego.
Try a word search of your own for just lego in your text and see if anything comes up. Maybe Legolas or allegory or something like that?
Hopefully they aren’t searching through model files since there can be all sorts of random combinations of characters in those.
